« Parking was easy and plentiful, at least at this time of year. We were a very short walk from the Cumberland main street. Room was clean and comfortable! I was especially impressed with the bed: most even higher end hotels provide far too-heavy blankets and a very fim mattress that lead to a stuffy, uncomfortable sleep. « Clarysville Motel is a newly renovated, well managed, reasonably priced motor lodge - combining convenience and comfort. The room was very clean with a coffee maker, microwave, and a large refrigerator. The bathroom had a new shower insert, big, fluffy white towels, and plenty of hot water. The owner and son were very attentive to our needs providing bags of ice and even meeting us in the middle of the night when we lost our key. « The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way.
We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited.
Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold.
If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available.
Furthermore, the options are more limited for dinner. There is only a gas station / limited eatery that stop serving at 6:30pm. The little town, Confluence is about 5 miles away. After that you are out of luck.
