The common areas are lovely, and how you would imagine an hacienda 100 years ago. "Liked the nice classic look of the hotel, it's really well located, the staff was very nice and helpful. The firm mattresses were absolutely to my taste. Parking required a three-block walk, which I found good for the exercise--it was easy to drop off our bags before parking, so it's not a complaint on our part! Worth it considering the hotel's wonderful position in downtown Merida.) Our only complaints: we would have liked washcloths and more places to hang towels."
