Truly a beauty that must be experienced! An absolute dream beach home that offers the best of both worlds for all nature and water lovers! There are 2 smart TVs at the property: One in the living room, one in the master bedroom This home is only a short 6 min walk away from a public beach access known to few locals and it offers the feel and serenity of a private beach. A short 7 min walk in the opposite direction is the Matanzas River with boat ramp access for all of your water toys and a nice dock to enjoy stunning sunset views over the river where you can take in the splendor of natures amenities. The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins! The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself! Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house. Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled. The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup. We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. The location is excellent — just a short walk or quick drive to the beach, with convenient parking only a minute from the house. It’s also an easy drive to the historic district of St. Augustine, where you can enjoy walking downtown, or visiting the nearby beaches and other attractions.We highly recommend Parlor Doughnuts just a few miles up the road and Reel Deal Seafood for fresh, locally caught seafood only a couple of minutes away.David and Patti were wonderful hosts — friendly, responsive, and attentive. When the pool and spa weren’t turning on one day, Patti arrived within minutes of my message and had everything running perfectly. The beach is just a short walk. It is short enough that we would walk over in the morning and afternoon. There are several restaurants, a Dollar General, and beach access close by. The gazebo by the pool was a perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon to get out of the sun but still be able to enhoy the pool and outdoors. We came to see my sister and her fiancé for Christmas and it was a wonderful home to all get together with close proximity to the beach and St. Augustine. The house is great, lots of space and the back yard with the pool and fire pit is wonderful and beautiful. We also loved the porch with the big table and that’s where we ate all our meals . It was a beautiful and clean home in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The pool was large and cool and the spa was properly heated and aesthetically pleasing. The property was as advertised with no surprises, and our host was quick to respond throughout the entire process. Additionally, downtown St. Augustine was only a 15 minute drive away and Butler Beach was even closer. We would love to stay here again. ##### Maggie B. My husband and I stayed at this property for Labor Day weekend. We left the kids at home so we only used the kitchen, master bedroom & bathroom, laundry room, and screened-in porch. We spent the majority of our time outside in the pool. Comfortable pool temp and very private. We used the hot tub a couple times and it gets hot quick. Kitchen was nice. There is a regular coffee pot so bring grounds but the last person there left us both filters and coffee so you might get lucky too. We Doordashed Piesano’s and Whataburger and both were ok. We ate at Baitong Thai Sushi, which we do recommend. We never went to the beach but it’s not far. You can easily walk in less than 10 minutes with all your stuff. House needs a bit of updating and fixing up but it’s priced well so it wasn’t anything we couldn’t look past. Overall a great place to stay and we’d return. ##### Allison T.
