A beautiful downtown loft with easy access to everyth Summary: Welcome to The Black Palace-C, located on South street in the heart of downtown Springfield! Multiple food, drink, and entertainment options are all within walking distance! Inside the loft, this one room unit is boasting with character! Stunning brick walls, a city wallpaper mural, and unique decor pieces make this place one of a kind! The Space: Walking into this downtown loft, you'll be greeted by unique features original to this historic South Avenue building. Relax on the comfy couch in your own little living room area and the loft also boasts of a king size bed for a great night's sleep sitting in front of a city mural! Even the full size bathroom is full of unique details including a walk-in tile shower! And the private balcony offers a sweet little view of downtown from your own private space! Guest Access: The entrance to the Black Palace is located directly on South street in downtown Springfield. This door will lead you up a staircase covered with mosaic tile to the Black Palace landing area, where you will be greeted by your 8 foot tall front door brought back from Mexico, made with solid wood and clad with character. You will be given your own access code for the front door keypad and the entire loft will be yours! PARKING There is no dedicated parking. There are two options for parking. Most people just utilize street parking. You can often find spots a bit south of the lofts on South Avenue. There are also a few pay lots, one of which is at the corner of Pershing and South Avenue (also just south of the lofts). Another is at the corner of Robberson Ave. and McDaniels St. It’s a bit further away, though. Other Things to Note: This loft is located in the heart of downtown Springfield. Street, automobile, and pedestrian noise from below can be heard at times, as can music from the neighboring Piano Bar on weekend nights. There are 4 loft units in this building! Rent more than one if traveling with friends or family! \*Important: For enhanced safety and property protection, we've partnered with Superhog - Know Your Guest. The decor is stylish and unique with everything feeling fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together. The place was clean, which is always a plus.Check-in and check-out instructions were straightforward and easy to follow.The location is fantastic right in the heart of downtown with restaurants, bars, and coffee shops just a short walk away. A couple of cons worth mentioning: Street noise can be noticeable, so light sleepers might want earplugs (which were provided). Also, the bed shares a wall with loft B with pretty thin soundproofing, so privacy during… intimate moments… isn’t great. (Though I suppose that could be a quirky pro for some couples, haha!)Overall, we’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cool, central spot with character. This is literally in the epicenter. If you are looking for a suite to lay your head that is gothic chic, this will definitely check all the boxes. The classic, industrial touches were beautiful. The bed was comfortable. We brought a fan because we are oldish (close to 50) and it helped with street noise, but there’s ear plugs if you need a little bit more. The chandelier was gorgeous. We didn’t stay long in the room, but the time we did we were able to relax. ##### Sheila G. The loft was nice and cool when we walked in as the outside atmosphere was sweltering. The loft was clean, simple and served us well during our stay. It is within walking distance of great spots to eat and visit. We spent the evening walking the area, ducking into a brewery, pubs, talking to folks, seeing the art and enjoying some good food.We are older but enjoyed the variety of music playing in the local venues.The morning was spent grabbing an early coffee, taking a walk, then eating at the cafe next door.
