"The Argyll hotel is fantastic ,all round an amazing place to stay ,staff fabulous and food excellent,rooms excellent. "

"The place is nice, however, staff loudly making comments regarding a convicted..... I don't want to use the word here.....lets just say a "disgraced Financier" as the media would say. Laughing and using positive language like "celebrity p********e"..... I found it extremely disgusting. On challenging use of the language in earshot of guests the response was equally as outrageous. One staff member freely excused it, for a reason I do not want to mention on public review as it is not my place to share the reasoning they gave. The fact they thought any reason justified talking like this within earshot of guests is absolutely astounding. On reporting to proprietor I was met with a response of "OK so are you leaving then?" I then asked what his thoughts were on disgusting comments like this he said he will have to ask the staff if they actually said it. I respect the fact your first reaction is to protect staff, however, training on professionalism and standards is lacking. If you want to support staff support the correctly by providing correct training. "

"What a wonderful stay! The house is beautifully decorated, equipped and maintained. Our daughter loved the games room! My husband is now planning a golf trip with friends and will be booking High Ranachan for the next visit."

"Property was as described and was situated in such a peaceful area. Everything we needed was in the chalet. It was warm and comfortable and so easy to access other parts of the island. We had not stayed in this area before and thoroughly enjoyed it. A 20 minute walk took us to the Kinloch hotel for a superb evening meal. Wildlife in the grounds of the chalet was great. Loved the red squirrels and hares in the morning. Could not have asked for better."

"What a fantastic house, every window had a picture-perfect view of either the water and surrounding Isles or rolling farmland hills. Easy to walk down to the rocky beach, up along the hills or drive into town, taking in the fresh sea air. The host Polly had great communication and sent a detailed booklet on the house and activities around the area. The house was very well equipped for a large family, a home away from home. Highly recommend...we will be returning!"
