From the road the place looks like a motor inn but go further back and many of the rooms face a large and quiet garden courtyard, which was unexpected. The pool and hot tub area was large, well laid out and clean. Not much of a fitness room. We stayed in a room with a gas fireplace which was OK. Flat screen TV had HBO which is a nice touch and a break from the usual basic cable junk. Has after 10 PM noise rules which we appreciate and the place was quiet for the 3 days we stayed. After leaving the hotel we realized we had left something behind and the staff was able to locate the item and ship back to us which, for me, says a lot about the quality and integrity of the staff. I didn't want to spend a lot, but wanted to be in a pretty area for walks and maybe take advantage of hot springs. While it is adjacent to a busy road on two sides, the landscaping and fountain provide a buffer from the noise that works well, especially if on the side furthest away from the road. It has been updated, painted, well maintained and is in a great location. Hotel staff was friendly however they were not real helpful if you need to ship wine home.
