The pool and hot tub area were great for the kids. The apartment area was great for the family with smaller children. The kitchen was well stocked and there were all the amenities that were needed. The only issue we had were numerous noise complaints from the owner during daytime hours. We were able to figure it out once moving the speaker but this would have been nice to know about ahead of time. This was probably the ideal home for our family. The 4 older granddaughters enjoyed the casita and we appreciated that it was connected to the house. Everything that we wanted to do in Sedona was close by. The pool was outstanding and enjoyed by all. The kitchen was very well stocked and the only thing we needed that wasn’t there was a rolling pin so we bought one and left it there for the next family. It was very nice having the 2 rollaway beds for the 2 younger grandchildren. We had an absolutely wonderful, amazing vacation. Great memories! ##### Jan S. May 13, 2019 #### Lovely home for exploring red rock country We spent 4 days in this lovely Oak Creek Village property as the start to an AZ family vacation. It’s very well appointed with a kitchen well suited to dining in for a large group and with a pool table (with a Ping Ping table cover) and large family room sitting area. The home has been recently renovated to create an enormous common area combining the kitchen, dining and family rooms, all with a beautiful view of the nearby red rock mtns for which this area is known. There is an adjacent pool (heated for an additional fee) and hot tub (heated as part of the rental), also with great views of the mtns. Overall great place to stay as close to the less hectic village of Oak Creek while still only 10-15 minutes from the more developed town of Sedona. Finally just down the road from great hiking trailheads. ##### Jeff O. The sleeping arrangements worked great, especially the extra suite with living room/kitchen and bath - our son’s family took that over. The pool/hot tub was a HUGE hit. The kitchen was well appointed - lots of plates, cups, glasses. Having two rollaway beds, two port a cribs and 2 high chairs was great. There were plenty of beach towels and bath towels. The washer and 2 dryers was great! The location of the home in Oak Creek was also nice - a bit of traffic getting into Sedona during the day, great star gazing at night, but still easy access to many hikes/sites, and so close to grocery store for supplies. We did a day at the Grand Canyon, Pink Jeep Tour, Slide Rock State Park, Montezuma Well and Castle, Jerome, Airport trail, Courthouse and Bell Rock Trails - all easy to get to! ##### Kate L. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Joan W. Jun 13, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### It was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by Red Rock Retreat. The family room with it’s wall of windows looking out at the inviting pool and spa and then those iconic red rock formations in the background…..aaahhh! The view was absolutely spectacular! The house was IMMACULATE, tastefully decorated and oh so comfortable for our family of 11, ages 5 thru 76\. We settled in and enjoyed the pool (with tons of pool toys!), gas grill for a homecooked family meal, and fire pit for smores. There is nothing lacking at Red Rock Retreat and we would suggest you wait until you arrive to purchase/order anything except for perishables. Meghan has multiples of just about every kitchen item (even 2 dishwashers!) and lots of pantry staples. We haven’t experienced this degree of accommodation at any of the other vacation rentals we had in the past. The neighborhood was secluded and peaceful but nearby are restaurants and a grocery store so you don’t have to deal with the busy streets of Sedona proper. The location was perfect for day trips we made to the Grand Canyon South Rim, Horseshoe Bend and a smooth raft trip on the Colorado River thru Glen Canyon, the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff for stargazing, and an ancient ruin tour with Pink Jeep – that’s in addition to everything else that Sedona is known for such as the innumerable hiking trails and scenic viewpoints.
