« I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. »

« It’s a no frills room so I thought a tad expensive but the shower leaves something to be desired, scalding hot or freezing cold, your choice and don’t try turning, you will bruise something. Staff were nice and the room was clean and we had a decent breakfast. I’m irked by the shower »

« Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. « Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Overall the staff at the bar and in the restaurant and around the hotel...

« Castle House B&B is perfectly located right in the centre of Richmond. It is a lovely elegant Georgian property (c1809), full of charm and history with an inviting lounge to meet other guests.
