Perfect for Girls' Weekend

This property has everything you need for a great stay. The home is beautifully updated and tastefully decorated.Sometimes nature has other ideas about how water areas should look. I would describe the inlet as beautifully mucky and weedy, but that didn't deter us. We kayaked through it to the clear river.The outdoor space is exceptional, and we saw cranes and deer daily/nightly. Also, bugs were not a problem at all when outdoors. I'm not sure what the thought process was behind the "fence" blocking the view of the water/woods from the patio area. I'd remove it as it obstructed our views from the patio and kitchen. One of the best things about this home is watching the wildlife. I rated a 4 for cleanliness because one of the bathrooms had hair all over floor and shower when we arrived, so it may have been missed during the cleaning process. Also, there was an oven mitt and some dirt/dust between counter and fridge which appear to have been there for a while. Other than that, the house was very clean and well maintained. We had 4 adults on this trip and had originally planned to use the top bunk for sleeping; however, it was a bit wobbly, so we decided against it. IMO, the top bunk is best suited for children. Overall, this home was beautiful and provided everything we needed for a great trip. Location was perfect.

Comfortable weekend away!

Everything was as listed! This is a beautiful property in a quaint neighborhood, right on the water. The house was spotless and had plenty of room to spread out for our party of 2 adults and 4 children. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Short Ski Getaway

My friends and I stayed at the property for one night on a short, 2 day ski trip. The house was a short, easy drive from Granite Peak through some lovely scenery. The house itself was spacious and gorgeous. It was stocked with anything we really could think of needing. The outdoor space looked cozy and comfortable, but we didn’t utilize it due to the snow and immense cold. The hosts were kind and accommodating and very easy to get ahold of. We’re already planning a trip back in the summer!

Cozy, modern, clean home!

My family and I stayed in this home at the end of January for a skiing/snowboarding get-away. Conveniently for us the home was located in a quiet but easily accessible neighborhood, so Granite Peak Ski Resort was only 12 minuets away! What I loved the most about the house was the cute two-person hot tub. After a long day on the slopes, it was perfect to come back and unwind in the hot tub to recover for the next day. This house was perfect for my family of five. The hosts were extremely responsive, and you can tell they know how to host a Vrbo home. The house had so many little things that were just perfect to accommodate to renters. There are so many other good things I could say about this house, but you'll just have to stay here to find out for yourself! Definitely will stay again!

Family reunion retreat

The property was excellent and the home absolutely gorgeous. A few things, within one hour of checking in a lawnmowing service arrived and mowed the lawn for approximately one hour. Also, the fire table on deck was out of propane, we couldn't use at all.

Relaxing stay

Everything was fantastic. Comfy beds. Loved sitting on the deck in the mornings, watching the deer frolicking on the island across the canal. Well appointed, cozy accommodations. Extra blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, spices, coffee. Close to town, yet secluded. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice, spacious property. We were able to pull our pontoon boat around to the back and dock it. All our needs were met, and I would highly recommend it!

Lakefront relaxation

We had a wonderful time at the Pine Island retreat. Great house to meet up with some old friends and have a relaxing evening catching up, playing board games, eating, and enjoying the lake view with deer and cranes grazing along the shoreline.

A Wonderful Stay!

We so enjoyed our stay at Jim's place. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and we enjoyed taking canoe and kayak rides on lake Wausau. Jim was an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful spot. The views and convenient location cannot be beat! The home was tastefully decorated and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy a very relaxing stay. One of our favorite vacation rentals to date!

Rib Mountain Wedding

Property was just what we needed! Offered enough space for all 7 of us to stay comfortably and plenty to do included with the place. Easy to access the water too for fishing or just boating. Was super close to where we needed to go too. 12/10 recommend- only down side was we should have booked to stay longer.

Beautiful and Relaxing!

I stayed in this beautiful home with my son, daughter-in-law, and 2 1/2 year old grandson. From the moment we walked in (access instructions were easy), we were in love with this home! The furnishings are super comfortable and everything you need is included. The backyard and firepit were a plus and we really enjoyed all the wildlife we were treated to! Deer, muskrats, squirrels, and robins working hard on making their nests! The location is in a quiet and beautiful location, still central to all things in the Wausau, Rib Mountain, Weston, Schofield, Rothchild area! If this property is available, this will be where i stay whenever i come home for a visit!

Weekend Getaway

My spouse and I wanted to get away for the weekend and unplug. The house was perfect, although it would have been perfect for a family or two couples as well. There was ample space, kitchen was great to cook, house was clean, felt secluded while still being in the city. We drank coffee and watched the deer out the back window, and watched sun set in hot tub. We will be back!!!
