« Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. »

« Perfect spot to visit York and surroundings. Place is useful. Parking plenty of EV pods. A shopping centre close to the hotel allows all food breaks. »

« Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!! »

« Very nice and confortable hotel, and well located. The rooms and the place itself is in a classic british style. Breakfast is very nice and it is cooked on demand, which in my opinion may be a down-side, if you're not willing to spend 45 minutes for the breakfast (which esa my case most of the days as I was in a work stay). »

« The hotel is lovely. The receptionist Claudia looked on her screen when we arrived to early to ask if there was somewhere we could put our bags looked on her screen and said the room allocated to us was ready and allowed us to have our room key to leave our bags in. The other members of staff were all polite and respectful. I will certainly book here again »
