The authenticity of a true beach cottage is found nestled in downtown Saugatuck, tucked among the shops, restaurants, and parks. Padding around in your bare feet on the rich, exposed wood floors, you won’t mind the sand you bring in from the beach… a beach reachable by way of the historical Chain Ferry less than two blocks from Lake Effect. Closer still is a pet-friendly park and playground, a green oasis amid the boutiques and galleries that Saugatuck is known for. Greener and brighter yet is the garden around the cottage, waiting to host you and even your most difficult family photos.
 
The open layout of the cottage allows you to hear the bubbling laughter of loved ones rolling throughout. The quaint coastal décor is relaxing enough to ease you to sleep dreaming of the beach where you spent the entire day. Spend the morning on the sun porch resting your feet from a night out in the town, listening to the summer sounds of Saugatuck as you recharge.
 
Though you’ll have everything you need within the cottage; a BBQ grill, WiFi, TV, etc., the unique town around you has a lot to discover. For foodies, there is the farmers market and one-of-a-kind bars and restaurants; there are no chain restaurants here. Start a collection as you explore art galleries and local wineries. If you’re an early riser, visit one of the nearby golf courses or hike Mount Baldhead to Oval Beach. Whatever it is you decide to do, you won’t want to leave.

Please Note:
This is a historic Saugatuck Cottage. The original wood floors creek and dip, the vents are wooden, the doors and windows sometimes take a little help lining up, and the remnants of earlier decades persist. This can most obviously be found in the paint splatters on the floor from the previously occupied art gallery. The current owner sealed the floors with the paint intact as it brings about a bit of charm.
Tucked in the heart of downtown Saugatuck, you will love the hustle and bustle just outside the door. The adjacent bar, Wally's, does have live music most weekends until 11 p.m.
This home is professionally treated for insects. Due to the landscaped surrounding and adjacent park, it is still common to see insects. Please keep your food closed and put it away. No rate adjustment can be made for the presence of insects.
This home is located down a one-way alley. Please do not park in or block the alley. There are 2 off-street parking spaces and plenty of on-street parking on the road.
