"Isa was so amazing with communication and helping me set up any needs that I had for my trip. There was a welcome basket with bread and cheese and tea and coffee and water which was so much appreciated. A beautiful setting on their banana farm and close to an amazing restaurant and nice hiking. I love that the property has a bathtub for after a long day of hiking. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. "The house was comfortable. The gentleman living in the adjacent home was very gracious, helpful and welcoming. The house is as listed. It is a short walk to the ocean. The view of the volcano, Pico, is magnificent. The house is about 15 minutes driving from the airport, 15-20 minutes from a supermarket, and 20-25 minutes from the ferry in Magdalena. "Ein schönes und gut eingerichtetes Häuschen in einer wunderschönen kleinen Faja an der Südostseite von São Jorge. Auf der Anfahrt gut einkaufen und ein Mietauto sind sehr hilfreich. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Waschmaschine und Trockner vorhanden. Lage sehr gut zum Baden im Meer im Naturschwimmbecken im kleinen Hafen, fußläufig in 3min erreichbar. "We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay, using the house as a base to climb Mt Pico, enjoy a whale watch and a wine tour. The host was very helpful with advice and helped arrange the wine tour and driver. The view out the back is beyond gorgeous and it’s a perfect deck to eat all your meals."

"This house exceeded our expectations in every regard. It is superbly situated, overlooking the town and the sea. It has all the faculties that you could need inside and it also has a very pleasant, shaded, outside space. It is only five minutes walk into the town, where there are a number of bars and cafes and a very good little shop. João kindly gave us a tour of the immediate area when we arrived, this turned out to very useful in finding our way around later on."

"The house location was good, the village and the natural pool very nice. *****BUT****** the house was not at all the one described. Only 2 rooms instead of 3 announced ! The third room behind the house was closed and, when we found the key, what a surprise ! A very bad surprise ! It seems to be abandoned for several years. All inside was so wet, moldy and dirty. There were old and used sheets on the bed.... it was awfull ! The ground floor front bedroom's shower was dirty, we had to wash it to...

"Loved the house,loved the location. Miguel was quick to address any questions we had. My only criticism is that there was no comfortable place to sit. We encountered terrible downpours and were confined to the house for an afternoon. There was no sofa or even a comfortable chair to sit and read a book. However, saying that, I would not dissuade you from staying in this lovely home."

"Casa Rosa (the Pink House) was the perfect spot for our 5 days on Pico for our group of three couples. The owner, Manuel, speaks English fluently and is extremely helpful. He, and his brother- and sister-in-law, who live next door, were very responsive to any issues we had, including coming over at 11 pm to restore power lost during a storm, and responding within a few minutes when one of our party got locked in a bathroom! And, after all their help THEY gave US a bottle of wine for our trouble!...

"Casa Santana is relatively recently renovated traditional stone house with beautiful views out over the sea and the island of Sao Jorge and easy access to some lovely walks including one along the coast. We really enjoyed sitting on the covered terrace listening to and watching the birds, lizards and bats and watching sunsets. The acommadation is good with a pleasant lounge, and a basic but satisfactory kitchen. The downstairs bedroom is a bit dark unless you open the door, and would benefit...

"The place is really lovely and very clean. There is a great view of Pico, and we loved looking out at the lights of Pico from the porch at night. Rita was very responsive to any issues we had. The wifi was really weak, even after Rita provided a new router. Visitors should download tv shows or movies in advance if they want to watch anything during their stay. We loved coming home to this house at the end of the day!!!"
