"The accommodation is very nice and the views are spectacular. Great pool and sauna. They need to tidy up around the rooms as there are lots of weeds in the pathways. Outside the cabins could do with paving or decking as it’s not great to sit out on the bare soil and rocks. The was a towel on the sun beds that was there for outlet entire stay and should have been taken away. Overall it’s a very nice place but the owners/staff need to make an effort to keep it looking pristine"

"If you come to visit the Douro because of the Port wine culture, then this property won't disappoint you. Five generations of viticulturalists have lovingly developed this beautiful Pousada over the centuries and as you go through the property, it oozes charm. We loved our spacious and beautifully appointed room, including generous breakfast. The in-house Port wine tasting included vintage, 40- and 60 year old ports and was truly insightful. Add a dinner with authentic dishes and a few walks through the vineyards, from where you can enjoy expansive views over the Douro valley and you have absolutely experienced the Douro area. I hope to be back here one day can wholeheartedly recommend this Pousada to you!"
