San Leonardo in Treponzio Vacation Packages

Property was as describe, view was perfect, easy to find. Very clean AC wasn’t the best, however, we visited from the US so our AC is very cold. We never saw the owners, they left check-in instructions. They were semi- responsive già whatsapp. Bed is a very firm mattess.

There is no front desk or staff available to help us with check in or carrying luggage up the stairs. We arrived after 7 pm. No one answered the bell that was in the directions and I didn’t realize that there was another set of instructions for later arrivals. A local helped us call the manager who gave us instructions for the keypad which was in a different building. We had a misunderstanding about the price because I believed that I had booked it in Canadian dollars but it was in Euros, and the manager got upset because I questioned the price. Housekeeping did not make the bed or provide fresh towels. The location is lovely, however, overlooking the beach.

We lost one whole hour because they sent us to a different location. At the end, after a lot of insisting on our part, they gave us the address we booked but a different, much smaller room. 😡

When we first arrived at Hotel Park Argento (HPA),..our first thought was it wasn't going to be that good BUT read on...we were very wrong...it turned out to be a GREAT stay with Park Argento. The staff is awesome... Maria at the front desk, was SOOO nice and sweet....Michele (Micael) the bartender (who makes the best Espresso Martini I've ever had...BY FAR) and Georgio the waiter at Guido Restaurant on site were all incredible people. AND let me not forget all the women who worked so hard at breakfast, so friendly and accommodating, not joking...they felt like friends by the time we left. They responded so quickly and pleasantly all the time. The rooms are really spacious, the bathroom is ok, the showers are really tiny although the water pressure is great. The pool area is also really comfortable...nice chairs and the Hotel provides bathrobes and slippers for everyone in the rooms. Also..the Spa area is sort of connected to the pool area and I did a massage and ooooh....SOOO good! The little drawback is that its not in Cinque Terre...its one town removed to the northeast. It's the 1st stop on the train after Monterosso so its not that bad. You do get used to it after a couple days and HPA offers a free pick up shuttle from both the train and city center too. Like I said earlier...very nice. All-in-all I, would recommend them...and don't judge the book by its cover.

We had a wonderful stay at Arpaiu – Odeyo Sas in Manarola. Our room was charming, clean, and minimalist, with a window overlooking the south side of the marina from high above the village. One of our favorite memories was sleeping with the window open and listening to the waves crash against the rocks below—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. Upstairs, there is a comfortable common area with Nespresso available 24/7 and an awesome outdoor deck with spectacular views of the cliffs and coastline. One important tip: pay close attention to the owner’s directions when arriving from the train tunnel! There is a much easier ramp leading up to the hotel. We saw other guests following Google Maps and struggling up the stairs with their luggage—not a fun way to arrive! Tatyana, the house staff, was wonderful. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us on our first morning and even took care of our dirty laundry for a very reasonable fee, which was especially appreciated while traveling. The location is also very convenient for quickly accessing the train and exploring the other Cinque Terre villages. Overall, Arpaiu was a wonderful and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Manarola.
