Quality hotel in nice location.

Posted 21-Oct-2016
Location: Centrally located. Little Italy and Gaslamp District at you fingertips.
Room was top notch. Staff was just ok. Would recommend this hotel if staying downtown. The other Westin just blocks away usually has lower prices. Ideal for this wanting to stay at a luxury hotel downtown.

My dog loved it too!

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: VERY dog friendly!!! Dog under 50lbs stay free, free doggie bed and bowls(see pics), poop bags and a map for neighborhood dog friendly places!
Cons: There were dust on the phone and bedside table...
Location: Cafe 21 for the breakfast!!! We went there 2 mornings in a row. The hotel's restaurant's patio was so nice and relaxing, my dog enjoyed it too :)
Everyone there was so very kind and professional and nice, we enjoyed our stay very very much. Jason from the front desk was so polite and professional, and the lady from the concierge desk(forgot her name sorry!) recommended the Cafe 21 for breakfast, she called them to make sure they have opening for the patio so my dog can enjoy too :)

Great Service Great Hotel

Posted 13-Oct-2016
Pros: Everything!!!!
Stayed here for a weekend and the staff was very kind and accommodating. Some of the best front desk staff I have ever encountered. Kind, courteous, exemplary level of professionalism. Room had a great view and was clean and comfortable. Last stay was not a stay for myself but I had booked a room for a friend of mine and Alyssa, Elyssa, ?, not sure how to spell her name was so delightful to speak to on the phone. Booked the room through this site but called the hotel myself to request a nice room nothing too fancy as it was his honeymoon night. Alyssa was kind enough to find a room on a higher level and a nice view as well as added something special in their room for the evening. Alyssa's customer service was on level with a five star hotel and she was so kind and understanding. Great service even though the service was not for me.

Nice hotel not too far from the Bay Area

Posted 3-Oct-2016
Hotel is nice needs some updating. We stay 6 nights. We went to the Hotel Restaurant a couple of times but it has a set menu which never changes. They need to put a new dishes everyday as specials. Not just give half off a regular dish! Staff is great it was nice to speak to them. The Concierge staff was very helpful also. I would also suggest opening up the Terrace on the 4th floor with bar service when it is not in use for conferences.

Pros: Location -Gaslamp district, lots of restaurant choices -Hop On shuttle stop is 300 feet from entrance. -close walk to the Sante Fe, or Orange Line
Location: Rode the hop on shuttle and Gas Lamp district.
A room was available for us after getting off cruise ship. Concierge very helpful in planning our day with tours and food choices. Adjacent mall had an outdoor food court for cheap eats. Ate at the hotel restaurant when we got tired and did not want to walk far when tired.

Nice hotel in Gaslight Qtr, 1/2 mile from harbor

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Nice accommodations including swimming pool, lounge with guest printer, on-site restaurant / bar. Friendly staff (all of San Diego is friendly).
Cons: No issues
Location: Nearby shopping, bars and restaurants. The harbor is only about a half mile walk. Easy access to libraries, museums (marine and air), zoo, Sea World,
Very nice hotel located in the Gaslight Quarter. Nearby shopping, bars and restaurants. The harbor is only about a half mile walk. Lots of public transport - shuttle or cab is about $10 (2016) between the airport and hotel. My conference was down by the harbor where the hotels were considerably more expensive - just walked to it every morning and evening.
