Close enough to water to get the ocean breeze and sounds (we love to hear ocean waves at night), and far enough from boardwalk to not feel like there is a constant parade and lookie-loo's. And how sweet to be upstairs with high ceiling... Grill and lounge patio available on ground level was a nice addition. The room is VERY small (but we knew that)!. The murphy bed takes up most of the room when down, would have been nice to have some sort of table or surface coming off the cabinet when up. Lots of lovely features, decor, plenty of plates and cups in the kitchen, decent cooking supplies. Could use a few more towels/washcloths, maybe a set of wine glasses, some sort of work or eating table other than one tiny one (not big enough for two people to have laptops up at the same time). I loved the place for a week's vacation-- my partner found the bed to be too soft, but he's king size : )Steve and Dee were responsive, helpful. They also were kind enough to warn us (once I mentioned our septuagenarian status) that the tub is deep and the required step down situation is a bit difficult for folks with mobility issues. We were fine with that, but good to know...Thanks for non-stop views of the ocean.

Great location but disappointing on details

Advertised jetted tub didn’t work, window shade wouldn’t roll up, extremely minimal essential supplies. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 of us for 5 days and no tissues offered, ran out of hand soap in bathroom, we were asked to run dishwasher before checking out but there were no more dishwashing pods/liquid. No extra supplies anywhere in condo available for backup needs. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

This place is perfect for couples. Nit big enough for more then 2 people. Parkimg isnt next to the studio apartment. But not far from it. Easy walking didtsnce. Just a block away. Ocean views from our balcony. We stayed in #7

The unit was clean but smaller than we expected. It was warm inside when we arrived so we opened the 2 sliders on the ocean side. There are no other windows or doors to open, so there is no cross breeze. The 2-story ceiling makes the unit feel larger than it is. The balcony is just large enough to stand on. It would have been nice to have space to sit and enjoy the view. The is the 2nd building in, so this is an unobstructed view of the beach. The complete kitchen was nice to have. The unit has a murphy bed & a loft. The loft is accessible using a ladder but I felt it would have been dangerous to go up there & try to get back down, as the bottom of the ladder rests against the small couch that is in the unit. Plus if you are in the loft, you look straight down into the bathroom so anyone using the bathroom would have absolutely no privacy. During the second night of our stay the Murphy bed broke - the mattress fell through the frame at 1 a.m., so we cut our stay a day short becuase there was no way the handyman was going to fix the issue in a day. The hosts were quick to respond & did issue a refund for the 1 night. The bathroom shower is not the best design. It is a jacuzzi tub with a rain shower head and no shower curtain or door. The tub is deep & difficult to get into - the exposed access to the tub is small. - it is jammed into a nook. The only way to turn on the shower head is to be in the tub & be under it. I did like that we were so close to the beach.

Property was excellent. Easy check in and check out. Very clean and situated in a perfect location within Mission Beach. Will stay again. Was visiting my son who is attending University of San Diego. 12 minutes away. No issues at all
