This stunning shorefront home has unobstructed views of the Pamlico Sound and is the ideal spot for enjoying some of the most spectacular waterfront sunsets in the world. Located in the ultimate location for water sports enthusiasts, and perfect for large families of all ages, Launch 41 is named for the adjacent Pamlico Sound waterfront access at Milepost 41 on North Carolina’s famous Highway 12. Practice your kite-boarding, windsurfing, standup paddle-boarding, kayaking, and fishing, with effortless waterfront access via a large grassy area and sandy beach.

This four-level home (with a custom elevator that provides quick and easy access to each floor) is unlike any other in the area and is poised to ensure that your family getaway is a rousing success. Launch 41 comes complete with every amenity you would expect from one of Hatteras Island’s premier properties. High-end fixtures, top-quality furniture, classy flatware, and sophisticated decorations set this home apart. For in-house entertainment, two 60” smart high-definition televisions with surround sound are ready to host family movie nights.

The main living area of the home, which includes a full kitchen, living room, and dining area boasts ample seating, modern appliances, a long breakfast bar, and a formal dining table - straight from a magazine. On the second level of the house, guests can enjoy a large recreational area that has a pool table, 40” HDTV, stereo system with 10 speakers, bar, full-size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Each of the five bedrooms comes with its own private tiled bathroom complete with a gorgeous glass enclosure, flat-screen HDTV, and a deck with stunning views. Also inside, appreciate having access to a laundry room, where all of your swimsuits can be refreshed effortlessly.

Outside, discover multiple expansive decks. As well as, a hammock and plenty of comfortable furniture surrounding the large pool. Need a break from the sun? There is a large covered area of the deck that provides plenty of shade and allows guests to enjoy the spectacular views of Pamlico Sound all day long. Splash in the pool or simply kick back, relax, and enjoy the soft breeze rolling off the water.

End your evenings in the hot tub. Launch 41’s Caldera Vanto spa features powerful jets with two motors, a waterfall, and LED lights. You can also enjoy the 60' HDTV in the media room while in the hot tub.

Best house we’ve got the pleasure of staying in

We loved this house. Great location, super clean, well stocked, beautiful and looks brand new. Everything was thought about in this house. Extra little details everywhere. You do not need much. Just food, beach towels and beach chairs, that’s it. I wish I would have seen that they supply grocery delivery because I would have definitely used that! The price is amazing and I hope that they continue to stay within a reasonable price for the future. We would love to stay here next year and if it becomes available we will definitely rent it again.

This house is equipped with everything you’ll need. Fully stocked kitchen, every cooking utensil, pots, pans, even two pizza makers! Very spacious, and the view is amazing, especially at sunset. If you want peace and quiet, this your place. Highly recommend if you want to visit Waves.

Beautiful sound front home!

This home was beautiful, very clean, and the best equipped house we’ve ever stayed in! The owners have thought of everything. Wish we had more time to enjoy it all. The setting of the home was so serene. Late afternoons at the pool and evenings watching the sunset were so enjoyable after a busy day on the beach.

Very modern and super clean house. All rooms have stunning views. Walk to the ocean side is less than 5 mins. Lee is a great host and a problem with the pool was fixed within hours. Highly recommend!

Launch 41 is easily one of the nicest Soundfront homes on The OBX. Kite boarding from there is a dream. The house is very well maintained. It does not feel like a rental house that has been partied in and abused. It is cared for. So if you want a peaceful home to recover from epic kiting, this is it.

This house was perfect!

The house was the center of our perfect vacation. It was clean and beautiful. We enjoyed spending the week swimming in the pool, sitting in the hot tub and paddling on the sound. The elevator was perfect for my niece in a wheelchair. She was free to travel the house with the other kids. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to be able to cook at night. It really was a fabulous vacation!

Launch 41 is an exceptionally well maintained house in a beautiful sound side setting.

We have been going annually to the Outer Banks for 45 years. We have owned ocean front houses in Nags Head and Waves. We started spending summers at Grandfather Mountain in 2007 and sold our beach house in 2012. Since then we have been in the rental market. Launch 41 is by far the best house we have rented. It is also the first time we have stayed on the sound. Cocktails on the decks, watching the kiteboarders and sunset are a perfect end to the day. I love to cook especially the fresh seafood and summer vegetables and the kitchen is equipped with everything necessary to produce huge family meals. Every bedroom has an en suite bath which assures maximum privacy for all couples. For those who like lots of TV, a pool table and bar - its there, but we didn't use it. The decks have lots of seating. The only negative is the lack of outdoor dining space for more than 4 people. The grassy lawn is great for corn hole, ladder ball and for our toddler granddaughter to just run around. The elevator is great for suitcases and groceries. We had a handicapped relative visit and it was great for him to be able to join us on the top floor. Most OBX houses have the living area on the top floor but no access for the handicapped. I know this sounds like a glowing review but it is meant to. Lee was very responsive during the booking process and we have already booked for next July.

Everything was PERFECT!!

This is the first review that I have ever written. We could not have been happier with this house. Everything is just as described. Super clean. Well stocked. The owner's attention to details is unbelievable. Lee truly has thought of everything. We liked that the area is quiet and peaceful. Small shops/Small Grocery/Things to Do within minutes. Larger grocery stores about 20 minutes away.

Fantastic OBX vacation

My family has stayed in the OBX area on numerous occasions over the years. We love the boating, fishing ,kiteboarding biking and just relaxing . There was plenty of room for us to spread out and have our own space. We loved the top floor balcony which overlooks Pamlico sound and has the most amazing sunsets. This house is very well appointed and has all the amenities. Will be back in the near future!

Fabulous property on the sound with every amenity you could ask for!

My family and I spent a week at Launch 41 in August of 2017, and the house was outstanding. Every room has tons of privacy as well as a large bathroom and deck access to watch the sunsets on the sound. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and then some, and the pool and hot tub are first rate. The location is also absolutely perfect, giving tons of privacy but just a quick 5 minute walk to the beach or local shops and restaurants. The furniture was all extremely comfortable and there is plenty of seating on every level. The only (minor) issue we had was slow internet speeds on the wi-fi, but every other aspect of our trip was amazing. We've stayed at many houses in this area and Launch 41 was the best by far.

Absolutely awesome!

What a great place! The house was stocked with almost anything you need in the kitchen, comfortable beds (looking to buy one like the center bedroom on the 3rd floor :) ), and the modern bathrooms and bar/billiard floor (yes I said floor), there was something for everybody and everybody enjoyed! The details have been covered by Lee, who we had the pleasure to meet, and you can immediately see why this property is so well reviewed by everyone that stays here. The pool and hot tub were great too! Outdoor speakers provide music from a bluetooth connected device or the radio or any other source. Double dishwashers upstairs were a gift from god (or Lee)! We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Lee for really putting together a great place for this family to enjoy and really relax. Peace! Paul C.

4.5 star house; to make it a 5 star needs a new double bed [ firmer]; should have 2 sets of towels for each guest, and at least 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, plus 1 bar of soap. The kitchen was "well appointed" with all the pots and pans required, plus, etc. etc. however should include a box of large plastic garbage bags . the house was very clean upon arrival! good work to the cleaning staff. It would be nice to have the option to pay an additional fee to have the pool heated. I did leave a general message to the management company, but no reply. [ not good]

Amazing Vacation Rental in OBX

What an amazing vacation home! My friends and I had a great time staying here. The house is just incredible. Plenty of room (with 6 full size bathrooms!) and great accommodations. I couldn't believe how many of the rooms had king-sized beds - what a rarity! Property was immaculate when we arrived. And cleaning crew arrived right around 10am as expected on our last day. The kitchen/dining/family room area is very spacious. Several of us could be comfortably in the kitchen. It's nice that there's also a kitchenette on the bottom level (full size fridge, sink, small dishwasher, cabinets, cutlery). It's easy access from there to the grill out front or the hot tub and pool in the back. There's also a TV with an incredible sound system down there. Nice to have that area on a floor without any bedrooms. Balcony access from every room, and stocked with more than ample furniture. The sunsets are just incredible. For a group of friends who live just outside of DC, we really enjoyed being able to sit and see so many stars. We actually only went to the beach our first day there. We found ourselves enjoying the house, its pool & hot tub, and the rentals available next door so much everyday that we didn't want to leave, even to head to the beach. What a fun, relaxing, breathtaking, and memorable vacation at Launch 41!
