Une halte à Salinas car hôtels complets à Monterey . Hôtel en rénovation en janvier 2019, donc ressenti pas significatif... Mais situé à 1km environ de la gare en bordure d'une route très fréquentée et très bruyante jour et nuit ! Réceptionniste très suspicieuse : c'est le seul hôtel de notre périple à travers la Californie où on demande , en plus du paiement immédiat de payer une caution prépayée par notre crédit card. ..et dans la chambre une liste incroyable de prix totalement fous de tous les accessoires de la salle de bain , au cas où il vous viendrait l'idée d'emporter 1 serviette ou le micro onde.... Concernant le bruit, j'avais demandé lors de ma réservation quiet room, puis redemandé de changer à notre arivée mais refus de l'employée à la réception.

L'hôtel, de construction récente, est très confortable, d'une situation commode à deux pas du centre-ville historique de Salinas, du Musée et de la maison de STEINBECH. Cependant quelques petits inconvénients : 1. la John st est passagère (route 68), mais les fenêtres de l'hôtel sont relativement bien insonorisées, 2. les chambres réservées à prix compétitifs par l'intermédiaire de "Hôtels.com" sont prioritairement celles dont la fenêtre est située en face de la colonne extérieure de l'ascenseur, d'où le caractère très sombre des chambres concernées (il s'agit des deux chambres numérotées 02 et 03 à chacun des trois niveaux), 3. les horaires du petit déjeuner sont très limités (de 6H30 à seulement 9H30) et la salle de petit déjeuner est trop exiguë en ne comprenant que trois tables de quatre places chacune pour un établissement de 48 chambres, de sorte qu'entre 9H et 9H30, il n'y a pas assez de place.

This is misleading, HJ’s may have some hotels but this one is a motel and misleads someone to think they are booking a room at a mid range property. Not. The elevator only operates in the day, the room spelled of pot, no carpet, the Uber driver divulged the ladies of the night work here and minimal amenities. Wouldn’t have stayed if it wasn’t midnight when I arrived.

The hotel itself was just fine and we liked it but the area was a little depressing. We realize it's on the older part of town but compared to other places we saw up off of Davis Rd, we would've stayed there. I rented 11 rooms for an event. One person had to abandon their room (and stay elsewhere) because the carpet was wet throughout the entire hotel room. Two other people left in the middle of the night, and the rest were all traumatized, because of the very loud stand-off between the police and someone they were arresting, right outside of the hotel rooms, in a guns-drawn stand-off.

Sadly my room smelled clean but I have bad allergies to mold and dust which causes my airways to close up when in that environment. I booked specifically because it offered free breakfast. After waiting 15 minutes for the front desk "help" to appear from a different part of the hotel (staff had to call him), I was told the dining room was closed "due to Covid" and handed a paper bag which contained a single pastry--the kind bought in a vending machine--and a Sunny-D. It would much better if they simply said they offered no breakfast. Ridiculous.

Hello Oscar, I am very sorry that you smelled smoke - of any kind - at our property. We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which result in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations. Guest satisfaction is top priority at our hotel; for that reason, we truly appreciate your feedback about the guest experience at the hotel. We do not allow smoking in common areas at all and we will be implementing stricter measures in the future. Thank you.
