"The house was quaint and okay for the 4 of us but there was a smell downstairs which was unfortunate. The place is generally great and the pool top. Shame the restaurant was closed (would have like a clear notice of this before as there is only 1 other restaurant really close by). Spanish families were excessively loud at the pool but other than a cool and really nice stay - the tream were really friendly. "

"Our family really enjoyed staying in Dominique's apartment. The apartment was very clean and the location was an easy walk to town or the train station. Everyone really liked staying here. There was a little confusion on check in but everything worked out great. The only surprise was no bathroom towels. Luckily we had our travel towels. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Saint Jean Pied de Port. Thank you Dominique."

"Beautifully updated and lovingly maintained cottage for a perfect experience of rural France. Very close to two major towns (Pau and Bayonne) as well as multiple charming villages, it makes for an ideal location for exploring the foothills of Pyrénées. The owners, Shona and Ken, are very friendly and accommodating people, truly interested in the comfort of their guests. We strongly recommend the gîte, and hope to return there again soon."

Beware though if you need good wifi, there is only one router for several units and if all units are rented, the wifi becomes extremely slow. "Cadre et environnement magnifiques, si vous recherchez des vacances paisibles, c'est le lieu idéal. Nous avons adoré la maison atypique et décorée avec goût. Nous y avons passé 2 belles semaines. Sophie et Didier sont très sympathiques, ça fait plaisir d'être reçus de la sorte, ils sont très discrets également. Tout est à 3/4 h, 1h de voiture environ si vous souhaitez visiter les villes et villages. Le Béarn est un très bel endroit. A faire !"

"The hotel was excelleb=nt as usual especially breakfast. One downside was that the restaurant was closed despite the menu being on a board outside the restaurant. The only brasserie was closed. Luckily we met three wonderful Irish ladies who directed and sheparded us to a "hole in the wall" pizza maschine. The pizza was excellent and we shall certainly be booking this hotel again but checking restaurant is open at reception"

"My stay was great. The little room #10 is clean and well appointed. It’s an accessible room, which is great. Although the water from the shower frequently went everywhere because the shower drain didn’t clear quick enough. You just learn to run a slower shower though :) Hosts were great and quickly fixed the batteries in the AC remote. Room was toasty and bed was super comfy. Easy walk to town and to the Pilgrim office for those on the Camino. Only a short walk to the start! "
