The pool was murky but the kids were in the pool instantly. We notified the owner who eventually shocked it however, one by one the children woke up crying with earaches. We were well known to Urgent care as we took each child in and they instructed us to notify the owners. The kids could not get into the water for at least a week, pool or beach. The vacation was spent tending to sick children. I am a nurse practitioner and sent her a copy of an article on how children could be infected by a dirty pool. She just asked if I felt the pool was safe now and didn’t seem toUnderstand that once exposed it didn’t matter. Eventually adults started getting sick too, and having to go to urgent care there was no offer to refund us money or pay for medical expenses. She did say on the last couple days if we wanted to just leave, we could have our money back for those two days however people flew in from Portland Chicago. All of our plane tickets couldn’t be changed to fly home just two days early. Other issues were that the dining table was broken so we were unable to sit down and eat meals together for the entirety oh the trip. We stood around the island to eat The stove was broken with only two burners working. It was replaced the day before we left..
