"Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much"

"The accommodation gave everything I needed for an overnight stay as a solo traveller on my motorcycle. The breakfast this morning was excellent one of the best I’ve ever had. All in all a good stay and would not hesitate to use it again."

"Everything was excellent but be mindful if you stay in Cherry on the ground floor of the adjoining property as we had someone stomping about in the room above us for about an hour as we were trying to get to sleep approx 10pm not sure what they were doing, trying to get their steps in I think but you could hear every movement and also the television, shame as everything was great I don’t think I will ever book a ground floor room with accommodation about again"

"Lovely cottage in a quaint village. Suitable for a large group, with great sized lounge, kitchen and dining table (which extends - this was perfect for the boys on board game nights). The pub down the road does excellent food, regret not eating there more often! There were a couple of enormous spiders in the house, which scared one of the girls, so sorry if the neighbours heard some screaming while we were removing them. While waste and recycling are clearly segregated and labelled outside, there's only a two sided bin inside, so some thought needs to go into all the waste sorting as you go, unless you go to the garage to deposit as and when."

"Excellent location in the middle of Kirkbymoorside, with short walk to shops & pubs.The food in the George & Dragon pub it excellent and the food from the chinese takeaway is good.The property is OK if you want to be out and about all the time, as the "living space" is small, but adequate for 4 adults. The two black chairs are not very comfortable! There is no real dining space, just the breakfast bar, which would be a struggle to fit 4 people around for a meal!The stairs are quite steep and narrow, so no good people with limited mobility. I would also not OK for coiples withs kids / baby.We had a leak from the first floor shower into thr kitchen, which we reported and it was fixed very promptly the next day, so full marks for that! Cleanliness was OK, but the fake flowers could do with a good clean, so I;ve marked the property down to 4 stars overall, but property is good for a short stay."
