"Overall if you are a dirtbag climber and just in sheffield for a quick trip this place totally gets the job done. Our biggest issues were that there was no shower curtain so the bathroom flooded when anyone showered, none of the bathrooms had soap, and overall just super limited amenities. Also the trash out front was absolutely overflowing and was all over the yard. Honestly would stay again in a pinch, just would come with lower expectations."

"My friends and I stayed here for 1 night and we enjoyed our stay. The location is good in terms of getting into the city. There is street parking available. Unfortunately the hob ignition was not working but the host was helpful and directed us to the lighter. Rooms are a good size and clean. The garden gate did not lock, so that needed to be fixed. But overall we had an enjoyable stay. The host is very responsive and communication is great!"

10/10 Excellent

"A fabulous weekend stay for Leeds pride. Great view of the train station. Room was lovely with a great comfy bed. The SKY Bar was excellent, gorgeous views of the city and reasonably priced too. Breakfast was delicious. If I had a small of feedback, the coffee machine was extremely slow in the main restaurant. A lot of people commented on that and not just me. But everything else about the stay was ace."

"The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional. Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession. When we asked for a pause his response was that it was already cooked so we needed to have it then. We were invited to look at the pudding menu at 8.15 and asked if we could please have a little break, bearing in mind that dining didn’t start until 7 pm. He told us if we wanted dessert we would have to order as the kitchen closed at 8.30. We declined pudding. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel - and everything about it is 4-star. However, I would not give the dining room one star. Sitting in reception in the afternoon waiting for my friend to arrive, who was also staying at the hotel, I heard a lot of people going out to dine and booking Uber. I now know why. There were very few people- perhaps 6-8 dining at the hotel on Thursday evening, which speaks for itself. I felt very unwelcome, rushed and uncomfortable. When meeting friends to dine - it’s lively to chat and linger over each course. We were given an hour and a half to eat all 3 courses. Most of which were inedible anyway. Such a pity. Everything else was good. Dr Joan Whieldon"
