« This place was amazing. So much room, quiet, wonderful view of the mountains. We spent a lot of time in town, the drive was in and out was short. My wife said the bed was better than what we have at home. Comfortable living room so we could unwind, TV had all the channels we normally watch back in MN. You can't go wrong staying here! »

« Au milieu de nulle part, non pas exactement au milieu d'un National Wildlife Refuge peuplé d'oiseaux : oies bernaches , cygnes trompettes, pelicans.........donc grand calme. La chambre donne ou sur la route ou sur un petit étang ( la notre) et il n'y a eu aucun bruit. Chambre spacieuse avec des lits très confortables, une super douche et des serviettes de toilette moelleuses. Petit déjeuner très correct inclus dans le prix de la chambre. Le restaurant sert une cuisine copieuse et délicieuse...

« When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees.
