Very nice place and friendly people who run it. I will be coming back for more stays in the future. Great location for motorcycle enthusiasts coming to ride the dragon.
Liz went out of her way to be accommodating, waited at night for us to arrive, and was very sweet. The cabin was very quiet and secluded. We had no problem getting our low sportscars up the driveway.

The property was wonderful! Very, very comfortable, private, secluded, and spacious. The property owner, Liz, even stopped by to ensure we had everything we needed. She was so personable! We would very happily stay here again and give it an unqualified recommendation.
Nice, quiet cabin in a remote location, away from the hustle and bustle of mountain tourism, and the constant pinging of the mobile devices. Good hiking nearby at Slickrock and Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Cabin was very clean and in tip top shape. We enjoyed the fire pit for our cooking and s'mores. Gave it an overall of 4 instead of 5 because the driveway to the cabin is very, very steep. So it's just a caution to some that this part of the drive to the cabin, while a very short distance and paved, might be intimidating for some. The cabins are just up the hill from the Heart Retreat Center (a historic school).
I usually stay at Fontana Village when I'm up at the dragon but chose this place because they were full when I had planned to visit. Very glad i did, this is a much nicer cabin in my opinion. Liz was very helpful and friendly. My only real complaints were that it would've been nice if they had put WiFi repeaters on each cabin so the signal got up the hill. and the TV in our cabin was hilariously tiny...
A buddy of mine and I came up for the "Tail of the Dragon" drive as well as several other roads in the area. The ride to and from the cabin is beautiful. The stay was very relaxing. My buddy had recently lost his wife about 6 months prior and was wanting some time to get away and get his head straight. When we left here he said he felt more himself then he had in the prior 6 months. No cell signal but that is for the entire area so not just with this cabin. For a remote getaway with out any touristy traps, to decompress from stress of life our your job.... You have found it.
We were in town for a VW car show. I asked about the drive, she did say it was steep and paved but it was covered with moss and slick. Luckily we brought my SUV also so we were able to make it up to the cabin in one out of four vehicles. It is not made for a vehicle with stiff suspension or not AWD. It was exactly as described in the description. The only improvements it needs is a dishcloth (there was a sponge but it was used and gross), new batteries in the remote, and replace the missing slat under the twin sized mattress.

No Wi-Fi or phone service at the cabins!
Property itself was nice, and clean. The add is misleading there isn't any wifi at the cabin you have to go down to the main common area to get wifi. You can't take a single step anywhere in the house without waking everyone up from the creeking of the floors. I know that's not the property owners fault persay but just a consideration. The driveway is definitely not for people with trailers. It's narrow and very very steep. I feel like this should have been mentioned. Other than that the cabin itself is nice and well kept.
Really enjoyed being in this cabin, it is cozy and spacious, fit my family well and help us reconnect. the town and national parks are amazing. We will comeback.
