Heureusement que nous avions réservé l'option privilège.. cette option nous donnais l'accès au restaurant B Loved. Dans le cas contraire notre séjour aurait été désastreux.. Entre le buffet qui est vraiment pas bon et la clientèle de l'hôtel qui n'est pas chouette chouette... Ce restaurant au bord de la plage était notre havre de paix. Concernant la chambre nous avons changé 2 fois de chambre car une fois la climatisation était trop bruyante et une deuxième fois elle ne fonctionnait pas... Pour une junior suite privileged.. on a vu mieux. Pas certains de vraiment recommander cet hôtel même si l'infrastructure est jolie mais pour le reste... C'est le spring break américain dans toute sa splendeur. ( Même si nous n'étions pas dans cette période)

nous avions séjourné deux semaines exceptionnelles en2019. cette année grosse déception, qualité des buffets et des plats du beloved très décevante. manque d'animation et de spectacles dans l'hôtel. nous avons changé deux fois de chambre car très bruyante et problème de climatisation. dans la chambre disparition de notre stock de masques, environs un quarantaine. dommage car cadre très agréable et personnel très souriant. un grand merci à xochiti pour son implication à nous satisfaire.

The service was not good at all the room smell like a cheap motel the staff dint give good customer service the restaruant staff was horrible the food was like frozen food nothing fresh i dont recomend this hotel to no one i would never be going here again.

I was a little disappointed. I was at this location a year ago with a large group. The service was amazing. I was fully expecting that again but did not receive that. Upon arrival we paid to upgrade to privilege. I’m not exactly sure that Bloved was worth $400 but it did save us when our reservation to Tapas was cancelled upon arrival. Please don’t require reservations if staff is going to bump you. Margaritas bar by far had the friendliest staff, the pool bar staff was miserable. Housekeeping was so friendly and kind. I might try another Catalonia location but I don’t think I’ll return to this one.

This resort was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing, food and drinks were always really good. Great place to go to and relax. Only down side is getting to the resort from Cozumel

We truly enjoyed our vacation at Catalonia Royal Tulum. Great price. Overall beautiful resort. Smaller than some of the other resorts we have been too but we loved how close everything was. Pool and beach was absolutely beautiful. The water is clear and so blue. Staff were responsive, helpful, sweet, and treated you like family. Food was a 7 out of 10. We loved the food at the Grill, Bloved, Toscana and Rauxa restaurants. The buffet was ok. The things we were less impressed with were the drinks and shows.

The food is not tasty for some reason, the restaurant buffet doesn't look like a five stars hotel's restaurant at all. The only decent (but not great) restaurant is the one by the beach. The pool and many areas of the hotel seem old.

First the bad: the food is WACK! I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. There is an international restaurant that is supposed to be a great dining option but it was booked the whole time were there so 4 nights we would have needed to stay 8 days so we could have made reservations on the last night in order to eat there. Room service was HORRIBLE! I wish I took pictures to back up my claim. I ordered vegetable soup every night just to see if it would get better and it DIDNOT! The soup was DEAD ASS water with boiled carrots. As for transportation if you want to go to tulum center aka downtown Tulum to go clubbing/bar hopping the taxi will cost about $120 USD. During the day my partner and I took the local taxis called the “Colectivo” and for a round tip it cost $10 USD or 180-200 pesos but they stop running at 5. The Good: the hotel is very pretty and very relaxing! The staff are so nice! The activity were fun! The resort definitely gave couple vibes but even the guests were nice and friendly. In conclusion would I go back? My answer is no but only because the food was subpar and I’m a food person. I would give it a 5/10 and that’s only because the Italian restaurant was really good and Mexican night was alright. So 3.5 point for the Italian restaurant and 1.5 for the Mexican buffet. I would have rather stayed at a hotel or airbnb with a pool/ gone to beaches and ate out. Probably would have been cheaper or around the same price but at least I would have had good food.

Beautiful property! Lovely walk to the beach on the boardwalk, with a variety of wildlife (unexpected). Staff was amazing and friendly - food and drinks were wonderful :) would travel here again.

We really enjoyed our time at the Catalonia Royal Tulum. Our expectation for this 4 day trip to the area was to relax and enjoy the time at the beach. This is exactly what we did. Everyone from check in, wait staff, bar tenders, room service and stewards where friendly, polite and went above and beyond. The grounds are well kept and clean. The pool area was great with a swim up bar. The food at the buffet was really good (we never go to an all inclusive expecting great food) and the specialty restaurants were really good also. The grill was our favorite. I did utilize the free room service for coffee in the mornings. We flew into the new Tulum airport and it was about 1 hour 20 minute drive. It cost $194 for round trip transfer. it's about 20-30 min drive either way to get to Playa del Carmen or Tulum so you'll pay about $40 cab each way. Lots of cenotes close by though. The beach was great. We had great clear water the first day and then the infamous seagrass came in the last 2. The team keeps the beach area clean. Loved our stay and would for sure come back.

Amazing staff that go out of their way to make you feel welcome; especially Astrid a quezqbelle at the Palapa buffet. The buffet is outstanding and we wished the restaurants Adelita and the Tapas terrace could be brought up in flavor to match the outstanding flavors of the Palapa. I had an amazing stay at Catalonia Royal Tulum. The property is beautiful, very quiet, clean, staff were friendly and attentive, the food was amazing, our room was clean and modern, and beautiful beaches. The property is surrounded by a jungle and you will see native wildlife walking around on the grounds, which was enjoyable for me. I was concerned about getting sick but I did not. Catalonia has a good water filtration system and their water is safe to drink. They even provide bottled water daily for their guests. The food at the restaurants were exquisite. I would definitely go back in the future.

This place was perfect! Its more for adults that are looking to relax. Not a party resort. The only thing that was a little annoying, was that they had entertainment staff that would try to get games started and rather than just asking once if someone would like to join. They kept pestering and not only just in person but on a mic. So i learnt to just stay away from where they were starting some entertainment. Food was the best we've ever had, also worth paying the little extra for privileged package as it includes the Beloved restaurant by the beach. They had the best food! 👌
