Overlooking the Pacific and Gulf on the Osa Peninsula it is beautifully maintained, wildlife are all around, trails are rugged and moderate, and the staff could not be more personal and helpful. "Hotel is prima, niks op aan te mereken, alleen had de eigenaar de samenwerking met Expedia stopgezet en was mijn reservering niet meer bekend, gelukkig was er nog wel een kamer beschikbaar en heb ik mijn betaalde geld via expedia terugekregen. Maar vindt het wel slecht dat bestaande reserveringen niet op de hoogte gebracht zijn van het feit dat de kamer geannuleerd was door de eigenaar."

"Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. "
