![One of the oldest (and most complete) lighthouses in the entire country, Scituate Lighthouse (or Scituate Light, as it’s locally known), is a historic treasure. Built in 1811 by the federal government, the lighthouse has been a beacon for ships for over 200 years. The lighthouse complex includes the Keeper’s Cottage and Light Tower.
Accessibility: The grounds around the lighthouse are open all year. The tower is open only during occasional open houses.

« The host was nice and welcoming. Cozy cabin, comfortable beds. Nice welcome basket with coffee, snacks and games. Had all the condiments you need for a short trip so we didn’t have to buy any. The beach right by it is beautiful and secluded. The washer and dryer work great and fast. Detergent and fabric softener was provided. We will def stay here again! »

« This cottage rental more than lived up to its billing as a typical Massachusetts fish camp built in the 40s. The setting - at the end of a long drive - ensures tranquility. The many cottages in the camp offer simple but clean comfortable and functional lodgings. Each cottage has its unique flair. "Dick's Maggot" is a single bed cabin with minimal kitchen right on the water's edge. Very romantic. The cabin we rented, "Betty and Helen," is set back a bit from the pond. Its two bedrooms and tiny...
