Villa Marie offers the perfect holiday accommodation for those who want to be able to choose one or the other or both. The villa has a modern fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, hob / ceramic hob, kettle, coffee maker and all the kitchen accessories you need. There are three fully tiled bathrooms with shower and toilet. At the pool there is a lovely pergola where you can get shade during the hot days. Adjacent to the pergola is an outdoor charcoal grill in stone and an outdoor kitchen with running water. You can thus prepare your food both inside the modern kitchen and outside where the pool, pergola and all the lovely outdoor space are located. Outdoors, there is also an outdoor shower housed in the stone wall, completely in antique style. Washing machine available. The villa contains six bedrooms, three with double beds and the remaining three single beds that can easily be joined to double beds if needed. All bedrooms have AC. There are living areas both upstairs and downstairs. The living area upstairs is in one with the kitchen area and has two wide openings with sliding doors out onto the wide and spacious terrace. What makes the room extra unique is the fantastic roof which is in dark brown wood up to the roof. From the living area and terrace you can enjoy the spectacular wonderful views that extend as far as the eye can reach. Just like the pergola by the pool, this terrace also has a pergola that provides shade and a pleasant feeling. On the lower floor has a wide open exit directly adjacent to the pool. It is a few meters of wooden deck between just. It is a magnificent room, an in and out room in spa style. There is plenty of outdoor space. The patio around the pool is large and spacious and offers spectacular views of the mountains, valley and sea that characterize the entire villa. During the day, the view offers green olive fields and grape farms, villages with whitewashed stone houses, the mountain view and the wonderful blue Mediterranean. In the evening and night you see the magical starry sky as well as all the villages and Chania coast lights. When it's full moon, the moonlight lights up the place and provides a fantastic experience. The inviting infinity pool gives the feeling a sea that flows into the valley. Here you bathe with the whole view in the eye. The villa which has both stone facade and plaster feels new and modern at the same time as it offers a rustic and historically antique feel. The stone walls that are illuminated in the evening make you think of historical sites. Villa Marie is located in the village of Kontomari, which belongs to the municipality of Platania, on the Chania coast. The area is scenic and quiet while there is proximity to service and entertainment. Here you can enjoy the view, the tranquility and the privacy while at the same time you can quickly get down to restaurants, beaches, shops and other places of life and movement. The villa stands high on a hill overlooking stunning 180 degree views of the area, which we were amazed at every day. The villa itself is very comfortable and laid out on two floors with every possible amenity needed. The outside area, pool and barbecue were very special with plenty of shade. I messaged her multiple times, and the replies were always prompt and kind. We had 10 adults stay more than comfortably. There was plenty of space. The view was amazing. Any time of day, the views were jaw dropping. The pool was incredible. We hired a chef to come and cook dinner one night, served in the outdoor kitchen at sunset, and it was magical. The location was great - easy to get into town, but quietly removed. We could easily get to the beach, a winery, and the best olive estate I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and schedule a tour and lunch at Biolea Olive estate. You also won't want to miss the art gallery Aroma of Art. The artist lives next door, and not only is his art fantastic, he is a wonderful human. One of the highlights of our trip was our time here! ##### Meghan K. Tout est absolument parfait, il ne manque aucun équipement et les espaces de vie sont très spacieux. Les instants passés dans la piscine au coucher du soleil sont inoubliables. Nous avons passé l’une des meilleures semaines de vacances. Le contact avec Marie et Ionnanis a été très agréable et ils ont été des hôtes très attentionnés et bienveillants. Nous avons été accueillis avec notamment une magnifique corbeille de fruit. Équivalent Les enfants se sont beaucoup amusés. Nous étions 12 (8 adultes, 2 adolescents et 2 enfants). L’accès a la villa est assez facile, bien qu’elle soit en hauteur ce qui permet d’avoir un panorama exceptionnel. Nous la recommandons à 100%. Perchée sur les hauteurs d'une colline, la villa offre une vue magnifique depuis sa piscine à débordement, comme un écran de cinéma sur la région de Platanias. Malheureusement la météo particulièrement maussade durant une partie de notre séjour ne nous a pas permis d'en profiter comme cela aurait pu être le cas, mais la situation de la Villa, proche de la Canée et le fait de disposer d'une voiture, nous a permis de sillonner et d'apprécier la région nord et sud ouest de la Crète. L'accueil de Ioannis a été parfait, nous avons apprécié son amabilité et sa disponibilité, tout comme les très bons contacts que nous avons eus avec Marie au moment et après la réservation de la Villa. La magnifique corbeille de fruits et les bouteilles de Prosecco à notre arrivée ont été très appréciés. Merci ! S'il devait y avoir un seul petit bémol, ce serait celui du fait que pendant notre séjour, il n'y a pas eu de changement de draps de lit. Dadurch hatte man seine Ruhe, wurde von niemandem gestört und konnte selbst auch niemanden stören. Zum nächsten Strand und den Supermärkten sind es ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. In der Außenküche am Pool gab es leider keinen Kühlschrank, sonst hätten wir diese mehr genutzt. Dafür gab es eine große überdachte Terrasse, wo man sehr gut mit 12 Personen essen und den Ausblick genießen konnte. Die Villa liegt schön ruhig. Mit dem Mietwagen ist Chania Altstadt in ca. 30 min zu erreichen. Zum Strand braucht man 15 - 20 min. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe, die mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen sind. S avonds mooie zonsondergang. We hebben er heerlijke dagen gehad met elkaar. Er zijn natuurlijk altijd minpuntjes te noemen. Veel horren waren kapot of ontbraken. We booked Villa Marie at short notice due to COVID, and we hit the Villa Jackpot! The villa itself is so lovely, exceptionally clean and it has everything you would hope to have during your stay. We were only a family of four so we had a choice of bedrooms, and the beds were so comfortable. The villa sits on the side of a hill, and I don’t think you could find a villa with a better view, it is stunning and something we didn’t get bored of for our 2 week stay. The pool is a great size and there is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating options. We have stayed in many villas over the years, and Villa Marie has to be one of our favourites! Mit viel Geschmack und Großzügigkeit gestaltet und zur Krönung ein traumhafter, weitläufiger Blick! Wir waren dort mit 2 Familien (4 Erw. und 9 Kinder) und hatten mehr als ausreichend viel Platz. Sowohl für drinnen und draußen gibt es verschiedene gemütliche Rückzugsbereiche . Der Essenstisch draußen ist mega großzügig und mit einem gigantischen Blick aber auch drinnen konnte man gut und schön zu 9 Platz nehmen. Der ca 5 km entferne Strand ist nicht der schönste aber nett. Dafür ist die Lage perfekt für Ausflüge zu den Traum Stränden, den Bergen und nach Chania zum bummeln. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!! ##### kerstin g. Härligt med stora rejäla bord där alla fick plats att sitta tillsammans. Sköna sängar så man vaknade utvilad. Villan ligger på en höjd omsluten av olivlundar, utsikten och solnedgången var magisk. Villan ligger lite utanför byn men det fungerade utmärkt med taxi och promenaden till byn är ca 3 km lång men lätt och glömma då det är en vacker promenad. From the moment we arrived at the top of the drive to Villa Marie to the end, our stay was nothing short of spectacular! Our extended family of 12 was easily accommodated in the 6 bedrooms and 3 baths. The villa is exactly as described, all the appliances are state of the art and the furnishings comfortable. We enjoyed cooking and dining on the patio as well as the glorious sunsets. The location was central to all the sites we wished to visit. My only regret was that we did not stay longer. The villa is located in a very peaceful setting with spectacular views. The villa is great, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool is lovely, perfect for cooling off in! The children particularly enjoyed the pool! Marie, the owner, was extremely helpful and was always willing to answer any question we had.
