"After driving nine hours, we reached the hotel for which we had a paid reservation. We were appalled to find out our room was on the second floor and the elevator was out of order. No one was available to assist us with getting our belongings down the end of a hallway and up a flight of stairs!"

"We stayed here to go to Merlefest in Wilkesboro. It is a straight shot there. Hotel was comfortable and clean. The exercise room could stand an upgrade."

"My experience at this hotel was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. They even allowed us to check in early, which was a huge plus. The hotel itself was great, and it was conveniently located."

"Check in was difficult with a person who we had trouble understanding due to a very heavy accent and who appeared to have difficulty with our expedia reservation. She also refused to believe that I had a disability. The room had a definite musty smell and the carpet looked like it needed to be shampooed. The air conditioning worked but was noisy. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The shower was far to low on the wall for my 6'6" frame. There was no soap in the soap dispenser or it was broken. The breakfast items were sparse and there were no coffee cups available. The person at the front desk appeared bored and uncaring. The room needs a complete make over and the property is in need of maintenance. Not horrible but I'm sure there are better options in the area"

"If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. We had a fantastic one-night stay at this rental! The house was spotless and very well maintained, which immediately made us feel comfortable. It’s truly pet-friendly, and the fenced-in front and back yards were perfect for our fur babies to safely run around and enjoy themselves.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the home was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a short stay. The host was amazing—super friendly, responsive, and made communication effortless from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.As a bonus, there’s a great Mexican restaurant just a short, easy walk across the street, which made dinner plans simple and convenient. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and pet-friendly place!"
