We requested a taxi and they forgot to call for it so we ended up waiting quite a while, we ordered breakfast to our room for a set time and it never arrived (they lost our breakfast paper so it had to be redone). We left the hotel before sunrise and there was no lighting near where the taxis pick up/entrance to the hotel, there was a step down I couldn’t see and nearly tripped. The view from the hotel was pretty and the pool was clean. The room had a musty smell and the bathroom could definitely use an upgrade. There is only a bath with a shower nozzle, no actual shower. This made it difficult to bathe as I had to hold the shower handle and constantly adjust the water temperature and power, it would fluctuate from extreme hot to warm and the water pressure would adjust from normal to extreme/painful. The hotel charged 1000 baht for a ride to the airport and they had a taxi they would call to take you to Patong for 350 when the shuttle wasn’t running. The hotel is comfortable and it was a delight to just relax and chill by your own individual pool. The food is nothing special but worth it is you are just looking to unwind without hassle. I enjoyed my Thai green curry and Tom Yum soup, as well as the delicious prawns. It was an ideal setting for a long weekend away from the hustle bustle of Shanghai. The 3 nights were perfect and the trip was topped of with a short shopping visit to Phuket town on our last day.
