"Reserved thru Expedia (all we ever use). Wanted to stay at Black Oak Casino but sold out for Fathers Day. This hotel was rated decent & 5 miles from casino. We checked in by 4:30pm. Gal at front desk was quick. We drove to (rm 151?) practically at the very end/back of property. Landscape was full of weeds, room smelled musty, patio was not much better. We were far away from pool & breakfast room. Drove back to office and asked different gal if we could move closer. She gave us room 131. What a difference- it was a great room and location! Closest to the breakfast area, and just around the corner from the pool. Room was large & didn’t care that we had no balcony or patio. Had shrubs outside the window so we left curtains open. Loved the ample bathroom counter space and lighting was sufficient. Enjoyed higher bed and was comfy. Had a fold out sofa if we had extra people which we didn’t this time but duly noted. Very content with second room but left us wondering if the first gal stuck us over in the crappy room because we booked thru Expedia and not direct with BW? If so, pretty scrappy. We are long time premier Expedia members and should be treated the same if not better than any paying customers."
