The Sky Harbor Airport Inn was exactly as described, and my stay was good. My room looked exactly like the photos, and everything worked properly. I was able to use the shuttle to and from the airport, which was really convenient and one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. The employees at the front desk helped me with this, and it was easy and fast. The only negative is that the sheets smelled odd. Not bad, just had a weird smell. After one hour in the room, we had to leave and ended up staying at another hotel in the area. The horrible dog excrement smell that they attempted to cover with copious amounts of carpet deodorizer were just overwhelming. It made us all sick at our stomachs and suffering with headaches as well. No refund was offered and had to pay an additional charge at a different hotel. Staff was friendly enough. The airport shuttle was free and timely. That was great. The pool and hot tub were very nice, but the door allowing access to them would lock behind me and not allow me back inside. The A/C in my room worked great during very hot days, so that was great. The bathroom was extremely small with just a sliding door. The toilet would not fully flush making it unusable. I have no issues with the staff, they were nice enough. The property was disguising and poorly kept. Carpets were filthy, there was a bad odor, bathroom door was broken and would not close properly, I felt like I was staying in the projects. To top it all off there were prostitutes leaving as I was checking in. Luckily I had a sleeping bag to sleep in on top of the bed covers. The room was decent. It desperately needs a facelift, as the walls were falling apart and the shower frame was in terrible condition. The airport shuttle driver was supposed to bring us to the airport at 8AM, but he took his time eating a bagel and walking around behind the lobby while we waited by the door to leave. He ended up loading us up at 8:05, which was frustrating because we were in a hurry to catch a flight. We felt it was unprofessional and that he valued his own time more than ours. The breakfast selection was decent. It’s very very bad and I did not choose to stay that night. I booked it with Expedia and when I arrived I waited for so long because the reception cannot find the booking for the family before me. I got the room card then found the room so dirty and with the bad lock, without basic safety how could you stay there?
