The property had electrical issues due to rain and our room had no light. The breaker kept flipping. However, the hotel staff did offer us a spare room on our floor with a working light so we could shower and prep for bed complimentary. It was much appreciated. The breakfast buffet offers were pretty great and their service was amazing. The location was close to the metro and various delicious cafes/pastry shops/restaurant. Would stay here again.

Really nice, particularly for the price - midweek price was less than €150 / night and seemed a great value. Rooms are clean and great bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Nice, though small lobby with attached restaurant. I like the area it’s in with some gems of places to eat and two of Paris’ best bakeries within a 10 minute walk. Only downside is a very small, slow elevator - barely fits two with bags - but I generally took the stairs. I noticed they were doing maintenance on the carpet up the stairs as it was a little worn. The rooms themselves were very well maintained and updated. Overall recommend the place. Very happy with my stay.

We traveled from USA to Paris. I was uncertain about the area. It's in the 11th district and we felt totally safe even at night walking from the metro which was about a 5 min. walk from the hotel. We stayed in a family room and it was great. Paris Hotel rooms are small but we did not feel crowded. Updates had been done. Beds were comfortable and no bed bugs. Staff was helpful and spoke English. Well insulated from street noise, but did hear guest going in/out of their rooms. If i go to Paris again, this affordable hotel is on my list. They serve breakfast for a fee, but we did not partake. Great little eateries everywhere. Small working elevator and A/C in room. (We stayed in room 106)

Okay for two nights

We stayed at the hotel for only two nights. The location was good for us because we only were in the hotel at night and didn’t go there in between visits in the city. The service when arriving was very good, though at any other moment they were not as friendly though. When we left and picked up our luggage the receptionist didn’t even check which luggage we took and she was just on the phone (personal calls) all the time. The room was good. Not very big but that wasn’t necessary for us. The toilet though was in a really small space between the wall and the sink so that wasn’t very comfortable. Also, there was no separate shampoo in the bathroom only shower gel. We did have a good stay in the room and it was fine for only two nights. The breakfast wasn’t worth the €12 at all. There was some bread, cheese, ham, jam, dry cakes and eggs you could cook yourself. If I had known before I think I would have opted for breakfast outside the hotel.

The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. He encouraged me to speak French although I don’t get the opportunity to speak it much. He said if I got to spend a month in France with my vocabulary I would be comfortable speaking French. I had asked for a room in my booking on an upper floor but I was given one on the first floor but it was very quickly changed to the top floor as I wanted to get sleep. My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had everything you need except for shower gel. There was liquid soap in the shower. It was good to have two free bottles of water and coffee pods. There was enough sockets for plug charging for devices but no usb points but thats a minor issue. All in all I can't failt the hotel. It's in a good neighbourhood with the Charonne metro station a few minutes walk away and plenty of small grocery stores and food places. I would definitely consider returning.

Fantastic family room that offered a queen bed and 2 twin beds, large shower, and Nespresso coffee maker. Room lacked a safe though we could leave items at reception. Appreciated being able to use fridge in breakfast room since none in room. Near to bus 69 line and metro but also walkable to many sites. Would stay here again.

I was just a couple blocks away from a main Subway / Train station to go in which ever direction you choose. There are some food places with in the same distance. quite, safe, and hotel people are so friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

A great little place

My family of 4 stayed here overnight and the hotel was excellent. We are two adults and two kids under 8. The staff we met were lovely and helpful. The room was clean. It was a compact space, but we didn’t mind! The breakfast was really good because everyone could choose their own items from the buffet. The cheese and hot chocolate were a highlight. Thank you Hotel des Arts!
