« Some distance from the main road and no neighboor next to my room so it was quiet and I slept well. The room need to be renovated. Everything is dark and smell bad. Althoug smoking is forbidden since many years, the old smoke smell has not been removed. Armchair, A/C, bedspread and curtains are very old and shall be changed. Lighting is insufficient. »

« The two rooms over my stay, were excellent to beyond excellent. The second was as good as the first but needed to have wooden furniture replaced. Someone recently purchased the place and is in the process of renewing it. When it came to structural issues, all appeared brand new. Breathtaking in the sense of a renewed property. Carpet, walls, bathroom and so forth. The halls were similar. The exterior showed how far the interior must have come. Painting or siding replacement is in order...

« Je laisse 5 étoiles car le prix est très bas, ce qui rend la vétusté tout à fait en adéquation avec le service vendu. C’est propre. Le petit déjeuner est suffisant. J’étais déjà venu il y a 3 ans. « The place was beautiful the owners were so nice and amazing. We spent the weekend between Amana Colonies and Iowa City. It was close to all the places we wanted to go and visit. I will defently stay there again if I am back in Iowa. »

« I always enjoy staying at hotel Millwork- centrally located, unique transformation of an old woolen mill into a modern hotel. This stay was overall good. 4/5 only because they’re one option for breakfast, which is their restaurant, was not operational the morning I left because apparently the waitress didn’t show up. There were very few other options in the Amana‘s for breakfast and the staff really had no solution to the problem. Otherwise, a good stay. »
