This is a very traditional Japanese house, small but comfortable with all the amenities. Very close to JR station for access to USJ, and other parts of Osaka. It was novel to sleep on the futon in the tatami bedrooms. Check in went smoothly. We got there early and were able to drop off our bags and then go out to see the town. We had a lot of room for a place in Japan. The tatami was beautiful and the place was very well-kept. Nice neighborhood, too. The bed mats were even comfy. One should note that the stairs were quite steep. This could be difficult for little kids or older adults or people who have difficulty with stairs. It was a bit tricky to find as we came by cab after having an exhausting trip into Osaka, however, if we had come from the station the owner recommended there was a YouTube! video that would have made things much easier. Nothing really to complain about, as the owner was completely honest on location, space, interior, etc. however, I personally think I'm done sleeping on Tatami Mats with futons and will upgrade for actual hotels going forward (given I'm getting older and we have 2 young kids). Overall, highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a quick train ride to Universal Studios (6 minute walk to the station and then 2 stops)!
