Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Oniceni?
The best area to stay in Oniceni is the village centre itself, particularly around the main crossroads where the DJ207C and DJ207D roads meet.

This central location offers the most convenient access to local amenities and provides a good base for exploring the surrounding rural areas. You'll find the local council building, a few small shops, and the village church nearby. The area is quite spread out but generally easy to navigate by car.

For couples looking for a peaceful retreat, staying in a guesthouse or a renovated traditional home within the village centre offers a genuine experience of Romanian village life. You can enjoy quiet walks through the fields, visit the local church, and experience the slow pace of rural living.

Families might also find the village centre appealing, especially if they're looking for a relaxing holiday away from city bustle. Children can enjoy the open spaces, and the proximity to local shops means essentials are never far away.
When is the best time to go to Oniceni?

The days are long, providing ample time to visit local monasteries or simply enjoy the peaceful rural setting.

Similarly, early autumn brings comfortable temperatures and the stunning colours of changing leaves, creating a picturesque backdrop for photography and sightseeing.
