"The first room we got smelled like mold and mildew, the bathroom ceiling had visible water damage. We asked for a different room. The next room was better but there was still a musty mildew smell. The pillows are extremely hard made out of foam. I called housekeeping and was told that they only have a few feather pillows and that they are with other guests and to call the next day. I called the next 2 days and was told the same thing each day. 2 of the days they only put 2 towels and no bath mat in our bathroom even though we had 3 people staying in our room. The staff were nice and tried to help, but overall this hotel fell short and I was unimpressed and wouldn’t choose it for our next trip to NYC. I’ve also never had a hotel charge to store luggage while waiting for a room, but this hotel charges you for each bag you want to store. "

"In line one hour to check in. Billing errors took four trips to the counter to correct. I was given a $200 inconvenience voucher for use on the property just before I checked out, so it was of little use. Service here is a mess right now. After years of loyalty to the Palace, I doubt I'll stay there again. Not the same place any more"
