"My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. "My love and I had just let go of our dog and needed a change of scenery and to just breathe!! This was my first experience with VBRO and once the sting of the expense went away, it was well worth the process and the experience was fantastic! We walked thru the streets and window shopped, found the park to walk our remaining dogs, and a store to shop for a wonderful steak dinner! We did breathe and both agreed we would return to relax and rejuvenate again!! Thank you oh the weather was perfect...

"Cute and comfortable. They did a beautiful job with an older building. The check in process was a little confusing because I thought it was a hotel - know its more like a VRBO. If you can’t carry bags up steep stairs this place may not work for you. Not an ADA friendly place. The cafe below it was fantastic and friendly, wonderful little bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance. "
