"We had a great ten night stay at Tamarindo Bay Hotel. Marie and the staff were great and added a wonderful personal touch to every single day. The pool was nice and the seating area around the pool absolutely unbeatable. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a boutique feel for their vacation. If we return to Tamarindo, we will most likely stay at Tamarindo Bay again. "

"This is our 3rd time staying at Cala Luna and we absolutely love it! It gets better each time we return! The rooms are so incredibly lovely, the howler monkeys surrounding the property are a delight but above all the staff is the best! Especially in the restaurant and bars - they are so incredibly welcoming and nice! Andres the bartender is a true mixologist (you have to try his mezcal cocktails)! "Our family loved our stay at Ten North. Such a great location and close to everything, and the staff were wonderful. The kitchenette was perfect for a few days stay and my kiddos loved going out to the pool first thing in the morning before walking to the beach. I would absolutely recommend!"

"Beautiful property and area. rooms were nice, a tad outdated but the views were beautiful nonetheless. Staff was amazing, friendly, and always there to help if needed. Shoutout to Andre’s he was so kind to me and my boyfriend throughout our entire trip, he even helped set up a birthday celebration at dinner! Silvia with the tour service was also very helpful. i would definitely recommend for couples or even solo travelers! "

"Beautiful property, amazing staff, specially Juan Carlos, Freddy and the ladies in the kitchen. The best breakfast we had in all CR. Too bad it is located in a town where millions of dollars are generated from the super expensive restaurants and hotels and not one penny put back into its infrastructure. Tamarindo should have the best roads, sidewalks and a sewer system. I don't think it is "charming" to walk on muddy roads, right next to trucks and noisy cars. "

"We loved the privacy and seclusion of the property. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu was fine for about 2 nights, but if one stayed longer, it was limited. Some of the lounge chairs were looking a bit worn. We would have liked the pool to be accessible for evening swimming. The pool area was completely dark by 7 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sugar Beach Hotel."

"The swimming pool is huge, can easily accommodate scores of people. Rooms basic, but entirely sufficient for overnight stay. If staying longer, one might like to have a small fridge in the room, especially as no lunch services in the facility. (The two of us had a portable cooler that proved sufficent for out purposes during our one-week stay). Breakfast, dinner entirely satisfactory, the latter served 7-8 PM only. -- Price-to-room ration favourable"
