"The staff were super friendly and wanting to help all the time. It was disappointing the hot tub was under repair as we were hiking lots and planned on using it and we were not informed that it was out of commission. The best thing about it was the location. Right across the river from the Wharf, some great live music on the weekend, and the right next to the Maritime Museum."

"check in was fine. nice person at front desk. the experience went south from there, unfortunately. at 1030pm, we were asleep, until a man tried to gain entry to our room. (thankfully we had put the extra interior lock on.) person tried numerous times to get in. did not identify himself, nothing. turns out they had to switch something with the televisions, (switch to different tv service i think). now, why you would do this at 1030pm on a friday night? no idea. could have told us at check in that they were doing it shortly, but nope. when we spoke to this employee, he was rude, as if it was us inconveniencing him! "nobody is supposed to be in that room!" um, obviously we were. he told us he needed to do it then. i said no! absolutely not. he then insisted that they had to do it in the morning, i again said NO. we don't need it, do it another time. when i called the front desk, different person from checkin there, answered phone by saying, "hold" and put me on hold. nothing like, "good evening, this is front desk, may i please put you on a short hold?" nope. this happened all 3 times this weekend when i called the front desk. on that call, he came back on with "what do you want?". nice. i stopped by the front desk in the morning, "i absolutely do NOT want anyone in our room. NO setting up the tv, no new towels/sheets, don't need it." she said, absolutely, no problem. came back that night, bed made, stuff moved around. POOR. breakfast was decent. person at checkout was nice."

"The staff was very friendly. Our room had some grimey stuff on the cabinet of the fridge that was very sticky. There were crumbs and stuff in the corners by the bed. A lot of light was coming through the door frame. And there were holes in the blackout curtain. Room smelled slightly of smoke. Bed was one the most comfortable beds I have slept on. Not bad, but needs some improvements."

"We stayed 2 nights for the Road America Motorcycle racing event. We stayed here last year as well. There was a boys soccer tournament that weekend also and there was a group that stayed at the hotel as well and very frustrating that they were not respectful to other guest and the hotel staff did nothing about them or the parents. They were running in the halls, screaming, knocking on all the doors. The breakfast area was hard to use and food was gone by 7:30 am. The hotel did have new carpet. So it was clean in that respect."
