« We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. « Just spent 4 nights at the Brown Horse Inn. The staff were great. Food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent particularly the roast on Sunday. Great choice for breakfast. The Inn is very well placed to explore the South Lakes. Would happily recommend. »

« Lovely room, liked the extra touch of fresh milk for tea and coffee in the fridge outside the room for everyone. Lovely food small portions, but everything was good. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good, would stay again »

« Excellent stay. Room clean and comfortable. Room didn’t match the picture with a separate shower cubicle but the bath did have a shower head attachment so it wasn’t an issue. It is an old property so don’t picture everything to be perfect but again nothing affected the stay. Restaurant was good with main and special menus. The breakfast was excellent and included with the price so overall it was excellent value. Would definitely recommend. »

« What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot. »

« Room was compact but comfortable, the bed especially comfortable. Best in room coffee ever! TV was impossible to sort out, HUGE but useless. A leak from toilet cabinet meant floor was wet most of the time, and was reported to manager, I'm sure it'll be fixed for next people. Pub is oozing with atmosphere, food is excellent. Staff are great. Somebody could pick up litter outside once in a while to improve the look. »
