« I absolutely loved this place! I enjoyed the fire pit while sipping on a glass of vino with my little pup under the stars. The place was quiet amd I even had a few deer that came to visit. Location was excellent to downtown Marion. I loved the record collection she has too! That probably was my favorite! The place was perfect for what I needed. « Nice small cabin by the marina. Great place to stay if you are looking to rent a boat, spend time at the state park or hike nearby. »

« Very attentive host. Private, wooded property on golf course and very close to Lake James. Clean, spacious and has everything you need. Two bedrooms on main level and two bedrooms on the lower level. Upper level has nice living area and dining room. The lower level also has a nice living area with sofas, chairs, large screen TV, pool table, and kitchen/dining. Outdoor deck has grill and large dining table. »

« Location is great, house is roomy and great for a large family with teenagers. The host was responsive. Loved having use of the paddle boards and kayak. Kitchen could use a few things like storage containers with lids and some extra large bowls. Cleanliness in the showers could be better. We’d definitely rent the house again. »

« The main reason I am not happy is I booked a king room at a lower price and then when I got there it was a lot more! On top of that, they had NO king rooms available overbooked! Had to get a queen and only $25.00 credit. Not happy with this! If I am gonna pay $300 a night for 1 room for 1 night it best be the best and what I had asked for!! Very disappointed!! »

« Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering. »

« Hotel room.was clean, however the room needed maintenance badly. Shower handle and tub spout come away from the wall. There's no fan in bathroom so lots of wood in bathroom and room ruined with moisture. Breakfast area a mess and too crowded with people. »
