The pool on the roof has a good view. Rooms have a comfortable bed, AC and a nice bathroom. It is relatively close to the train station and the coast. The front desk staff remembered me from my previous visit two summers ago and was so warm during check-in. The views are the best in Napoli and the rooftop pool and bar are top rate. The history is amazing. The food is not good. We ate there twice. It was very expensive and was not very good. The “burger” was loaded with cheese. I like cheese, but it had a ridiculous amount. Amazing views of Napoli and the bay day and night. The location is wonderful up on the hill out of the real hustle and bustle but also very accessible to everything with just a walk down the stairs right outside the hotel. Only one con for me was the lighting in the bathroom. Just a little dark and I forgot my lighted magnifying makeup mirror so getting ready was a bit of a challenge. I would definitely stay here again. The church was just a few feet away and the reception was held at the hotel. It was a lovely stay with amazing views. However the room had a damp smell and the fittings were not of great standard. Napoli is a busy city and has its own identity so don’t be surprised by the graffiti, busy noises narrow streets. The staff were excellent btw. There is parking available, but be aware driving around the city with its steep and narrow streets provide much jeopardy. The view of the city is great and the 4th floor bar is nice. Easy access to parts of the city by funiculars that were close by. Downside was that roof top was off limits to guests for two of the three days staying at the hotel. We booked here because of the pool and outdoor terraces and common areas and we could not use these areas because of outside events booked by the hotel. On the day we were able to use the pool at 5 pm because we had to vacate due to yet another wedding that was happening that evening.
