This is not a hotel but very much like a traditional ryokan in that you sleep on a futon on the floor. Don't expect it to be a hotel as in Japanese ways it is not. What you do get is very friendly hosts, that will try and accommodate you to their best. We had a great stay and made new friends in the process. It's about 200 feet from the entrance to the piste, so it's practically ski in-ski out. The lobby is nicely done and warm, cozy, and has a nice, very welcoming cabin feel. The rooms were traditional Japanese style, and though not updated and walls were a little thin, it was fine and comfy overall. The bathrooms were to be expected in a share-type facility, but you generally don't spend the entire day in the toilet, so it's all good. The showers were newer and very nice and clean. The snowboard/ski and boots storage area is well ventilated and easily accessible directly from the porch. There were three wifi networks for the facility and it made it very convenient.
