"This is a comfortable lodge. Our room was spacious and clean. But we had a walk up room from the parking lot which was a bit of a hike. Also the walls are very thin and they dont have any quiet hours. Our neighbors stayed up past midnight talking and playing music and we were super exhausted from a day of hiking and had to ask them to keep it down twice. It would be good to enforce some quiet hours. The breakfast at hotel Ficus was good and we enjoyed the happy hour. Overall it was pricey for the walk up room and thin walls. Also floors were slippery. And no pool or hot tub."

"What an awesome stay! Lovely family owed hotel/ farm. Everything is done with such care and really the people were so lovely. My kids loved this stay above all others in Costa Rica because they would roll out of bed and go to be with “their” animals. Two horses, a donkey (that is truly the sweetest boy who thinks he is a puppy), sheep, a cow, a peacock, chickens, etc. It’s out of the main city so you get the feeling of being in the country, while being close by the noise if you want it. The rooms are new and clean. With a big shower. There is no AC, but because the temperature drops at night so much, opening the windows cools everything down. Highly recommend."

"The room and the property could not be at a better place, right next to the CloudForest Entrance. Rooms are spacious and clean, in the middle of nature. Front desk staff was very helpful in explaining the different options of how we could utilize the couple of days, with different tours, and also helped us in booking some tours and the taxis. The common room is quite big with coffee in the morning. Only suggestion for the management will be to make the shared kitchen a little bit better equipped. Otherwise, this was a wonderful stay, and would stay again in our next visit."
