"Staying at the historic Scotia Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip! This beautifully restored 100+ year-old hotel is full of character while still offering all the modern comforts you need. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality and outstanding service. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and perfectly captured the charm of the lodge's rich history. It's the perfect place to unwind after exploring the nearby redwoods and the Avenue of the Giants. Every corner of the property has a unique story, making the stay feel like stepping back in time in the best possible way. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind place to stay in Northern California, I can't recommend Scotia Lodge enough. Beautiful historic atmosphere, friendly staff, and an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!"

"The Historic inn is amazing place that represents a long bygone era and you can tell the ownership tries to keep it up. The rooms are very clean but the condition is a bit shabby. Things like water damage on the ceiling sheet rock, missing trim rings on sprinklers and old uncomfortable innerspring matress with squeaky springs. I know price is a relevant thing, especially to the area, and this was by far the nicest place within miles but the room was not worth the $500+ per night paid."
