"As a family we stayed at the end of August. The property was easily the best rental cottage we have ever stayed in. Very roomy and fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality. We loved the outdoor electric grill plate on the terrace which we have never used before, so much cleaner than a barbecue. As we have a daughter who is slightly autistic and also has Type 1 diabetes we always try and find good quality accommodation as we tend to spend more time there than other families might do as we often have to limit our days out if our daughter gets tired and this property fitted our needs perfectly. Our hosts Francine and Claude were marvellous and very helpful to me when on day 1 I had an issue with my car and thought I needed a garage. Claude accompanied me to the garage and was able to communicate with them for me as my French is non-existent !! I was very thankful for the time they gave to help me. They both speak quite good English so we were able to converse perfectly fine. If I have one suggestion for those staying here who are English speaking, there is a satellite TV box but it only has a couple of English speaking news channels available, BBC World and Sky News International. The TV is not a smart TV so as a suggestion for future travellers it might be wise to bring a dongle such as a Firestick or Chromecast that you may be able to access your streaming services via the good wi-fi at the premises. We had DVD's we brought so used the DVD Player for entertainment."

"Le Clos d'Amboise is a beautiful hotel. Our family room was spacious and extremely comfortable, with fantastic amenities. There is a lovely pool and garden area and the restaurant is special. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Also walking distance to all of the sights of Amboise. If heading to the Loire Valley, highly recommend this hotel. "
