Food excellent with great pools. Travelled in April, so hotel a little quiet, suspect a lot livelier during the Summer. Although a little out of the way, the hotel's frequent free bus to the beach an absolute boon. Disappointed with the view from the room on Poolside side of the hotel - new sports complex spoiling the view a little. Overall a very good hotel.

Good, clean hotel for the price. Beware mosquitos.

For the price, this hotel probably exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, tidy, back to the basics, no frills accomodation. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Onsite supermarket was well stocked and well priced. The adults only pool/bar was amazing. The evening entertainment was a bit naff. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice. Good location. Easy to walk to beach etc. the biggest drawback was due to the proximity to that lake, there were mosquitos everywhere.

Enjoyed our family long weekend

Enjoy our family long weekend stay. Like there was an adults pool as we had no children with us. Only comment would be bar snacks there as we had to go over to other pool. Didn’t have to be much just something light? But everything else was great. Thanks for helping us make treasured memories!!

Overall better than average for 3rd stay

My 3rd stay at this hotel for our annual cycling holiday. Pros - for cycling, great variety of food for half board, self service laundry, being able to bring bikes to the room. Cons - mosquitoes and poor Wi-Fi. On this trip only, the mattress in my room does need to be changed. Some of my group complained the level of cleanliness in the bathroom was below par. Service levels in the restaurant and reception were always were always friendly and warm

you really do get what you pay for. The atmosphere and amenities might suit families with kids, but it’s definitely not ideal for couples looking for a relaxing or romantic getaway. Noise levels, lack of privacy, and underwhelming service made our stay unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for comfort, quality, or any sense of escape.

Reception staff awful.

Asked for a high floor with lots of light as i suffer from claustrophobia, got the tinyest room like colditz , never slept for 3 days reception said there were no other rooms proved to them that there were other rooms online with various websites including there own , they just laughed and shrugged their shoulder's as if to say tough luck . I was prepared to pay extra but they just turned me away . Stay away from this diabolical Hotel.

It's a very noisy and poor-quality food hotel. Cleaning staff screams and makes annoying with furniture dragged on the floor since 7am, sometimes the staff-team doesn't speak English at all, food doesn't taste good and food labels are missing. Not a 4-star hotel! Stay away!

Basic but completely ok. Suitable for families. Clean. Good bathroom/ shower. Toilet that flushes properly! Room a bit poky for 4. Quiet at nights. Some staff need training in reception and restaurant. Food fine and certainly plentiful although no frills. Restaurant a bit hectic and noisy at peak times. Pools really great - the best part! Especially the quieter Breezers fresh water pool. Entertainment ok. Impossible to get taxis from the hotel which was a problem trying to get to the hidropark. But there’s a free bus to the beach. It’s actually only 15 mins to walk to the beach anyway. You can’t really compare it to more upmarket hotels but lagotel does the job and we had a great holiday. So if you aren’t really fussy it’s ok.

avoid unless you are for the all inclusive chaos

Our experience at EIX Lagotel was honestly quite disappointing. While the location and pools were decent, the negatives quickly overshadowed the stay. Breakfast was chaotic — extremely loud, overcrowded, and the doors to the outdoor seating were kept closed despite the packed dining hall. I asked for a white-only omelette, and the cook just poured some premixed liquid from a large plastic container into the pan. It clearly wasn’t just egg whites — honestly, it felt more like silk or custard than egg. Very off-putting. Pillows were thin and uncomfortable, with strange pillowcases that had two open sides. We had to ask for extra just to sleep properly. The in-room safebox was unusable — no instructions, no key, and I assume it required a deposit, but no one explained. Soundproofing was terrible. One night we couldn't sleep until 2 AM because our neighbors were having a loud party. The kids club had very limited hours and was completely closed on Sunday without warning. Tennis courts and lake boats shown in the promotional photos simply don’t exist. We also found cockroaches — a few on the balcony and one inside the room. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. On top of that, they required a €5 deposit every time our kids wanted to play ping pong, and a €40 deposit just to borrow beach towels. For a supposed 4-star family resort, this all felt excessive and unfriendly. We won’t be coming back. Too many issues

Viele andere Gäste haben den Service gerne genutzt. - Kleines Gym vorhanden: Für sportliche Gäste gibt es ein kleines Fitnessstudio. - All-Inclusive-Angebot: Gäste, mit denen ich gesprochen habe, waren mit dem All-Inclusive-Angebot sehr zufrieden. - Kinderfreundlich: Ab 19 Uhr gibt es einen Bambini-Club, bei dem sich die Animateure viel Mühe geben – ideal für Familien. - Poollandschaft: Sehr schön gestaltet mit einem separaten Adults-Only-Bereich – perfekt für etwas Ruhe zwischendurch. ❌ Das Negative: - Mückenplage: Durch den angrenzenden Großensee war das Hotel stark mückenbelastet.
