"The room was a bit cramped, as the hotel was built in the 1930s and the rooms weren't expected to accommodate a fridge, microwave, heater and king sized bed. Even the bathroom sink had to be half-sized in order to fit! The shower took a while to heat up, but was quite nice once it got there. That said, it was a perfectly nice place, and we were happy with our stay."

"Dunes Rest cabin was a perfect base camp for our Great Sand Dunes adventure. The loft play area was great for the kids and the kitchen was surprisingly well provisioned with gadgets and cooking basics. The star viewing from the deck at night was stunning. I would definitely stay here again!"

"This stay has all the amenities you could want! Full kitchen with a robust variety of pots, pans, trays, dishes, etc. Coffee pot, water kettle, coffee supplies available. Great laundry with detergent. Outlets where you need them. Good wi-fi. Super clean. You can see the pride the owner takes in their property.Communication with the owner was excellent.Nearby access to Great Sand Dunes and a reasonable drive to Alamosa if you need shopping or more dine-out options."
