Quality Inn New River

10/10 Excellent

"I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were spotless and updated, The breakfast spread was huge - something for everyone. The pool was still open and looked clean but we didn't get to use it. Staff was super friendly from the front desk to the breakfast ladies please tip them - they do such a good job!"

Comfort Inn Charleston South

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was great and clean. Exactly what you'd expect. This was our second time staying here and we specifically chose it because of how great everything was last time and we weren't disappointed. Matt at the desk was very friendly and helpful. He even knew about the hidden button to change TV inputs!"

Sonesta ES Suites Charleston

10/10 Excellent

"Requested certain rooms on first floor near entrance and handicap ♿️ parking when I made the reservation, and they definitely accommodated my request, the front desk gal was very friendly and greeted me and was so warm and welcoming, gave me a list of nearby restaurants when I asked for recommendations, the room was clean and spacious, with a full kitchen that was well stocked with anything we needed if we chose to cook anything instead of going out, the morning breakfast was warm and delicious with many options to choose from, hot pancakes with many topping options, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, hot sausage patties, fried potatoes, hot oatmeal, cold cereal options, biscuits and sausage gravy, variety of yogurts, fresh fruits, chocolate or regular Belgian waffles, variety of breads for toasting and variety of bagels 🥯 and pastries or coffee cakes and the coffee is delicious, couldn't ask for more! We will definitely be back again!"

Budget Host Inn Charleston

8/10 Good

"Will definitely consider staying here on future trips to Charleston. The manager was personable. But there were a few issues. Room looked clean but could use better vacuuming as I found a Cheeto and popcorn on the floor (popcorn was under the comfy chair I moved). Neither of which I ate while there. A few weird little insects in the bathroom sink. My shower was great but I wish it didn't include a midcalf foot soak as the faucet continued to run heavily as the shower was running. I really did not need constant reminders to "turn everything off and close the curtains every time you leave the room". I may be old but I'm not that forgetful! Was there three days. Lost track of how many times I was told this (numerous times while being checked in). Luckily the room stayed cool even with the AC off while out of the room for hours. And it was hot while I was there. Could also use a channel guide for the TV. Finally made my own with stations I wanted to watch so I didn't have to stop at every one along the way every time I wanted to watch TV. Just because the scoop for the ice machine is steel and doesn't really hold germs (48 year nurse) the fact it is left IN the machine, ON the ice, does mean everyone's hands do touch the ice when they pick it up. Guaranteed germs! The soda I purchased Sunday afternoon from the machine expired November 2025! It was flat when I tried to drink it later in the night so not reported as I didn't see anyone at key drop the next morning."
